Challenge Summary

Welcome to TopCoder Innovation Summit Email Invitation Template Design Contest! Innovation Summit is held annually during the TopCoder Open event For this year, the event will focus on stories in venturing with a cause, and with how the distinguished guests are literally changing the world. 

For this contest, your task is to design a marketing material of 1 Email template to be use as an invitation to help promote the annual Innovation Summit at the 2013 TopCoder Open. 

Round 1

1) Initial submission design with all the features mentioned in the Requirement section. 
2) Any note for the client about your submission

Round 2

1) Final submission design with all the features mentioned in the Requirement section plus any checkpoint updates.
2) Any note for the client about your submission


Primary Goal & Design Considerations

The primary goal of this contest is to design the email template of Innovation Summit. This email invitation will be send to executives, prospect clients, and government officials with the aim of promoting the annual Innovation Summit to be held during the 2013 TopCoder Open. 

We will be using Marketo to send our email campaigns. Avoid any complicated layout, keep your design clean and simple. Put into consideration that your design will be converted to HTML table layout. Avoid too many nested and embedded tables, and tables with too many rows and columns. 

Requirements

1. Size:
- The width of your design should be in between 500px to 600px at max.
- Ideally the height should not exceed 900px
- This email invitation will be send to our recipient email and many of them will see their email from preview pane which is usually a small portion of their available monitor screen. 

2. Design Consideration:
- We want to utilize the provided post card design we have to maintain consistent with our campaigns, but your design should not copy the whole design of the post card, just maintain the overall look and feel of the design including the colors used in the post card design.
- Avoid using background images in your design or any complicated design as much as possible.
- Use web safe font, here's a list of commonly used fonts for web
- Check for typos
- Keep a check on your font heirarchy    

3. Content:

- include the TopCoder Innovation Summit logo
- include the TopCoder logo

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

All requested contest requirements/screens as JPG or PNG files.

Source Files
All fully editable original source files of the submitted design as required by the contest under "Source Files" in the side bar.


Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to complete one round of minor changes to ensure your submission meets the stated requirements of this contest.

How To Submit

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
