Challenge Overview
Midas is requesting that the TopCoder build an international Corporate Directory that allows users to search for Employees, Contractors, Phone Numbers, and Geographic Locations etc. The Corporate Directory should be the single source for locating information about all Employees, Contractors, Consultants, Phone Numbers, Mailing locations, Conference Rooms, Fax Machines, Departments, Sections, Teams etc. At its core, this application is a telephone directory. With the addition of fields from our Human Resources system this directory also provides expanded information about each of the resource types. We are looking for maximum flexibility/usability and self-service features. Most of the data will be sourced from our Human Resources systems, Telecom system and collaboration systems. A key factor to the success of this application will be the usage by the people in our international offices that may not speak or write English.
