Challenge Summary

Welcome to OPM Presentation Content Idea Generation Contest. We’re looking forward to generate the content of a presentation based on the topic “Business Rules Engine”. We need you to research about the topic and elaborate a content/presentation solution for us.

Notice the deadline is very short. We need your help FAST! Jump in now

The primary goal of this contest is to come up with ideas for a MS PowerPoint presentation which main topic is Business Rules Engine, its applications in real world (software), benefits, samples, and so on.

We plan to use your solution (content) to create slides in another contest and graphically explain this topic.

Contest Requirements
- Your solution needs to explain what a BRE (Business Rules Engine) is, benefits, what/where it is used, how to take advantage of it, and so on. You are encouraged to go beyond these simple topics just mentioned - explore and teach us about BRE in a simple way!
- You need to explore applications of BRE and provide samples.
- The examples used should be based on the Red Hat JBoss BRMS. Feel free to use whatever resources are available here: http://www.redhat.com/products/jbossenterprisemiddleware/business-rules.
- Consider all this content needs to be VERY EASY to understand. Avoid “too techy” definitions when writing your content. It must be friendly.
- Besides content, you should offer ideas about how to implement it over presentation slides. You are encouraged to provide notes about graphics, how to split the slides, captions, and every little small detail you can think would help the slides to better fit your solution.
- Your solution must be well organized.

* Don’t hesitate to ask any question on the forums. We’re waiting for you.

Target Audience
Non-savvy persons. Imagine you have to explain this to someone who is not very familiar with technology.

Judging Criteria
You will be judged on your creativity of the idea and how well you addressed the outlined requirements.

Submission File
Your ideas can be presented in any way you want as long as the idea proposition is clear. Submit a zip file containing PDF, plain text, Word or OpenOffice file. Choose whichever format you find most convenient. We don’t take care too much about the submission files as long as they are “readable” and you cover all the requirements.

Source Files
Identical to your submission file.
