Challenge Summary

Welcome to OPM PowerPoint Presentation Contest. We are having a presentation by the beginning of the next week and we want to design professional looking PowerPoint slides to showcase a specific topic called “Business Rules Engine”. You will be creating graphics and slides for a PowerPoint presentation.

We need help and it’s a tight deadline!!! Jump in now and clear your doubts in the forums if there’s any!

Round 1

For your R1 deliverables please submit 8 slides of your presentation. At your consideration, the ones you consider as key elements of the presentation.

Round 2

Final design will contain all the slides you create as a solution plus any updates from client feedback.

The primary goal of this contest is to design the look and feel of two PowerPoint presentation slides. The content of the presentation is about Business Rules Engine, its applications in real world (software), benefits, samples, and so on.

You must make use of good visual aids, icons and graphics design in order to generate a solid impression.

Branding and Guidelines
- Use the attached logo (OPMLogo.zip) somewhere in your design, probably as header or footer element.
- The slides look must be professional and elegant. Icons and graphics you design must be very sharp.
- Use nice looking fonts for the pages content (editable). Declare your fonts according to the Studio font’s policies.
- Create a separate source file (PSD or AI) per any new icon or graphic you design.
- Make use of good quality graphics and animations to enhance the presentation.

Presentation Requirements
Content
There is a presentation scheme attached (BRE_PresentationIdea.zip). This is the outcome of a previous contest we ran recently to get ideas for the content of this presentation. This is the guide for content.

The RTF document shows the content we want to explore and use. Explore this document and extract the key elements to create slides from. It also contains hints about how to distribute the slides; however, we are open to suggestions regarding to this distribution.

The PPT file contains friendly ideas we liked for the presentation. You can also explore this document and propose slides based on what you analyzed.

Slides
Consider we should cover these topics at least. You can get content (or add more slides) by exploring the content documentation.
- What is Business Rules Engine?
- Business Logic.
- Components.
- What are the Benefits of Business Rules Engine?
- What is Business Rules Engine used for?
- Challenges you can solve using Business Rules Engine
- Case Studies
- Guideline for implementing Business Rules Engine

All of the background design elements should be in the master PPT slide, so that we can easily make changes to the master slide.

Remember we are open to suggestions to the distribution of the content over the slides. The minimum amount of slides should be 10. Total amount of slides is 25 tops, no more. You are encouraged to make good use of icons, quality designs, graphs and charts to make the content easy to understand.

Audience will be users of the Business Rules Engine, and they're not technical. We're trying to introduce them to the concept and basics and lay the groundwork for when we deploy an application so it's not something completely alien to them.

* Don’t hesitate to ask any question on the forums. We’re waiting for you.

Target Audience
Non-techy persons. Audience is clients who are receiving the BRE as a solution to a problem.

Judging Criteria
- Quality of illustrations.
- How easy to read and understand your design can be.
