Challenge Summary
Welcome to NASA Challenge Infographics Design Contest. We need two professional looking infographic designs to represent information about a specific topic we explain below, NASA’s Disruption Tolerant Networking. It’s fun! Come and join.
Round 1
For your R1 deliverables please submit the requested infographic designs.
Round 2
Final design will contain all the requested infographic designs plus any updates from client feedback.
The primary goal of this contest is to design professional looking graphics with text that explains space internetworking concepts. These images will be used for web as a start, but they are planned to be used for printing too.
Infographics are commonly used to represent complex information in a very easy way to understand. For this contest, “easy to understand” should be a key point to consider as design challenge.
Branding and Guidelines
- Files must be created in vector format in RGB mode.
- TopCoder and NASA Tournament Lab logos must be used somewhere in your designs.
- Colors and overall feel should match the NASA website.
- You can use any graphics from the NASA website or NASA Gallery BUT make sure to note the images URL as stock items in your submission declaration. IMPORTANT! Again, make sure to provide these stock items in your submission declaration otherwise you'll fail screening.
- Fonts are open to creativity. Use them wisely to make the design attractive, not busy. Declare your fonts according to the Studio font’s policies.
Infographic Requirements
- You are designing two infographics from NASA_DTN.pdf as reference.
- Infographic #1 must be taken from page #22, figure 3.1.
- Infographic #2 must be taken from page #27, figure 4.1.
- Use the following text somewhere in the graphics “To learn more about NASA’s Disruption Tolerant Networking challenge, please go to: www.topcoder.com/DTN”.
- The graphics must be interesting and creative, and help to explain the concepts in a visual manner, along with supporting text.
- Both infographics must be displayed in two dimensions. One with 800pixels width and another with 360 pixels width. Height is up to you but try to take a large amount of vertical space, not a rectangle.
