Challenge Summary

Welcome to CSFV Games Artwork Design Contest - Part 2. We want to create artwork designs for two (2) games. You’ll use game resources as characters, environment, and so on, to create stunning artwork material that will be used in a web page carousel. It’s that simple!

Notice the deadline is tight, jump in now!!

Round 1

For your R1 deliverables please submit all the features requested under “Design Requirements” section.

Round 2

Final design will contain all the requested features under “Design Requirements” section plus any updates from client feedback.

The primary goal of this contest is to design a mashup artwork for two games by using the games characters and elements. The design challenge is to make the graphics really exciting and user friendly by using neat-large graphics.

Contest attachment needed to use 7zip to compress files due to the large size. Download 7zip to be able to uncompress the files in case you have any issue.

Branding and Guidelines
- Design area: width 960px, minimum height 400px – maximum height 550px (at your consideration). Your designs will be used to showcase elements in a carousel. We don’t have the carousel design yet but consider these designs will be sliding (no need to add effects or anything, just for you to know).
- Use 72dpi resolution, RGB color mode.
- Use web-safe fonts. Declare your fonts according to the Studio font’s policies.
- Colors must match and appeal the current colors from the provided games.
- Think of web 2.0 when you’re creating your solution. We want to appeal to teens, and the general population.

Design Requirements
- We expect to receive two designs, one about Xylem and another about Ghost Map, represented in a very graphical manner.
- Our main reference is Funzio. See that carousel on home page; we’d like something like that, something large, highly graphic and appealing.
- Design stunning and prominent artworks for the required games. Colors are very important, be consistent with each game brand. When looking at this image you are designing, we want to paint an accurate picture of the actual game in as much detail as we can.
- This image needs show at least one screenshot of the game.
- Show characters (Xylem has one). Ghost Map has characters too (see mockup) but we can’t provide them. You’ll add them to your design on final fixes phase if you become a winner. So, consider you’ll use characters in your design, take the proper measures BUT keep in mind you won’t show anything during this contest; if you become a winner you’ll be provided with the characters for you to put in a final design.
- No iPad image (unlike in the Funzio example).
- Use the games logos.
- Provide a “Play Now” button. The text should be editable, so use a web-safe font
- See the provided mockups of each game. This is a reference of layout. You’re encouraged to improve and suggest the designs.

** Funzio is a reference for layout and feel, DON’T COPY ANYTHING or you’ll fail screening.
