Challenge Summary

Welcome to “TC PPT – Transforming Productivity and Innovation Powerpoint Design Contest“. TopCoder and CloudSpokes wants to build a presentation deck talking about transforming productivity and innovation and we need studio community help to create the slides design. The  slides concept  attached and all you need to do is transform those concept into a nice, digital looking and futuristic powerpoint slides.

At the end of this contest, we’re expecting powerpoint presentation that showing the content through visual communication to the audiences using  appropriate and enticing graphics.

For this contest, we need your help to create the look and feel and designing appropriate graphics for the presentation content so audiences can understand the slides material instantly be seeing the graphics. It is important for us to make the presentation content immediately catch the eye of the audience by combining some visuals content and standards content to make a great presentation deck. This presentation overall themes will talking about transforming productivity and innovation.

General Slides Requirements :
1.    All slides background needs to be in white color. However, you can use shadow effect like shown in concept slides, great combination between white background and shadow can create a nice and comfortable background to the audience.
2.    Do not copy the concept slide design style. Create a new style for your design, something that digital looking, clean, but futuristic. Concept style must be use only as references and for slide content.
3.    On all pages except slide 1 (title/opening slide), in the footer we need CloudSpokes + TopCoder together (see 2nd slide for a concept). Create a new interesting design for the footer, do not use the one shown  in concept slides.
4.     We like a shiny and glossy icons, avoid use a flat design unless it can bring a great experiences in your design.
5.    Be consistent!! Your slide design must have the same feelings, create the same style for icons, font, and background colors throughout your design.

Here are the requirements for this contest (run the CloudSpokes+TopCoder_Deck1.pptx to see the slides concept) :
1.    Slide 1 (1 slide), Opening slide :
a.    Create similar sharp graphic like shown in concept slides.
b.    Create an icons that able to presenting the overall presentation purpose.
c.    Create a title “transforming productivity & innovation” in the slide
d.    Create a secondary title “the ultimate crowdsourcing community + global services” in the slide.
e.    Needs Appirio logo in the slide. It should be large and “behind” it all because Appirio is the parent company.
f.    Don’t forget to add CloudSpokes + TopCoder logo in the slide.

2.    Slide Two (1 slide), the big news : Appirio acquires TopCoder :
a.    Title and second title were the same like shown in concept slide (slide 2).
b.    We would like to see Appirio logo appear/emerge as the first element in the slide.
c.    Create a kind of “electrical charge” as connector down to both sides of Appirio where CloudSpokes and TopCoder logos and icons appear.
d.    Then use an animation to get closer CloudSpokes and TopCoder logos and icons (we want to show something like energy forming).
e.    Show a large “+” sign between the two (CloudSpokes and TopCoder).
f.    And then show the words “Nearly 600,000 Person Global Community” appear.

3.    Slide Three (1 slide), what is CloudSpokes + TopCoder :
a.    Not much changes needed here,  we just need to animate/show each elements in appropriate and interesting ways to the audiences

4.    Slide Four (1 slide), How you succeed with crowdsourcing :
a.    Change the font to something else that much nicer than the current one we use in the concept slide.
b.    Each  graphic/icons (access, technology, and expertise) must be connected with some “electrical force” (mentioned in slide 2).
c.    1st graphic “access”, using interconnected globe icon, you can re-use or create a new ones that match with your slide design style.
d.    2nd graphic “technology”, using platform conveyer belt icon, few tweaks needed for the graphic, all can be seen in comment under concept slide (slide 4).
e.    3rd graphic “expertise”, using suit and tie with team behind him icon, few tweaks needed for the graphic, all can be seen in comment under concept slide (slide 4).

5.    Slide Five (1 slide), what crowdsourcing delivers to you :
a.    This slides needs several tweaks and it can be found in concept slides (slide 5).
b.    The graphic source files can be seen in references file.

6.    Slide Six (1 slide), what customers are building
a.    Bring the footer to the top.
b.    Create a sliding animation for the 4 colorfull pillars.
c.    Change the pillars content.

7.    Slide Seven (1 slide), one community : all possibilities for digital success :
a.    Simplify the screen, current concept slide way too heavy/busy!!
b.    The slide should show how you (client) can connected to Appirio and the way Appirio can solved your problem. Slide content details can be saw in concept slide (slide 7).
c.    Use the same electrical force (mentioned in slide 2 and 4) for the connection.

8.    Slide Eight (1 slide), Achieving more through CloudSpokes + TopCoder :
a.    We are really like the icons provided in concept slide, however, we challenge you to create a new icons design that bring cohesive feel for the entire slide design.
b.    Content for this slide will be the same like shown in concept slide.
c.    Add an animations to show the icons and its list one by one properly.

9.    Slide Nine (1 slide), Thank you slide :
a.    add the comment content to the slide.
b.    Create an icons that able to presenting Appirio, CloudSpokes and TopCoder as one big family.
c.    Create Simple link to TopCoder, email of TopCoder representative, and the TopCoder Representative name in the slide.

Branding Guidelines
-    Fonts - open to designer to pick as long as the font is clear and easy to read. ANY fonts used in your design must be listed in your note/declaration file.
-    References, we attached several presentation source files  so you will see what kind of design quality we’re looking for, You are FREE to use any icon set from this presentation as long it fits with the presentation overall themes.
-    All Graphic Design needs to be easily used in a powerpoint slides (cut each graphic design elements so we can easily do some editing to the slides).
-    Animation, Using powerpoint built in animation features,  we need you to re-create all animations in all the slides.

Judging Criteria :
- How well you illustrate and explain the information in your slides.
- How smooth your power point animation.
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.

Preview JPG/PNG Image File
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
All requested contest requirements/screens as PPT (Powerpoint Files) and PNG (static images).

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design (All graphic sources and Powerpoint files).

Finalfix
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your powerpoint content or graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. If Milestone updates are not completed you may be asked to update them during Final Fixes.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
