Welcome to “Issue Tracking Grading Web Application Storyboard Design Contest”. Our client wants to build a web application that merges ticket from 2 issue tracking tools (JIRA and RALLY) and provides an automated grading and report.  In this contest, we need your help to create new look and feel for the new application using our wireframes as references.

Our client is the largest cable’s company in the US and would like to build a web application that merges tickets from 2 issue tracking tools and provides an automated grading and report. The 2 issue tracking tools are JIRA and RALLY. This project purpose is to pull out JIRA and Rally tickets and and push them out to webpage for everyone to see,  then, using some formula (will be define in next phase) and based on the feedback, it would be graded accordingly. They already have their own system of grading and now they want to grade it automatically. They want a crawler for JIRA for Rally and bring it down to a webpage.

Our primary goal for the design is to have the grade and bug list be the most prominent data on the page. Navigation and ease of use is secondary to being able to draw the user imediately to the most important information.

Notes : All behaviors and interactions from each screens like modal window, popup must be created in your submission.

Branding and Design Guidelines :
-    Font    : Open to designer.
-    Color    : Open to designer.
-    Size    : create your design in 1024px width, however please consider create a design that adaptable for bigger screens. The design will be displayed on 32’’ and 50’’ TVs only. Please make sure it is readable on that scale. It is not expected to be displayed in other mediums.
-    No specific branding guidelines, use your creativity on how the data should attract user attention immediately.
 
Target Audience
Site is going to be viewed by management and technical leaders concerned about the current state of quality for a specific project. These folks normally from age 25-50, focused on high level results for the project.

Judging Criteria
- Creativity.
- Quality of design.
- User Experience.
- This is an apps to expose a letter grade and the defects associated with that grade. The letter grade MUST be displayed, in color, and be noticeable on 32’’ and 50’’ LCD TVs.  The idea is to have the eyes first be drawn to the letter grade and the defects associated with it.

Submission and Source Files
Submission File
All requested contest requirements/screens as JPG or PNG files at 72dpi.

Source Files
Fully editable layered source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD files.

Preview Image
Create a 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode and place a screenshot from your submission within it.

Stock Photography

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
