Challenge Summary

AppStream is a new “application streaming as a service” product from Amazon (currently in private beta) that provides the functionality to run an application in EC2 and stream the video and audio output to an end-user’s device. Developers will be able to write software once and run it via AppStream to instantly and securely deliver the experience to computers, tablets, phones, and televisions with an Internet connection. The service allows graphically-intense and resource-intense applications to run on low-end and low-performance devices, enabling developers to reach new customers without having to constrain their application design to the device, port across platforms or protect from piracy.

We have another contest to build a prototype for AppStream but for this contest we want your best ideas for using AppStream.

Round 1

Please submit your ideas in a text or Word document. Provide as much supporting information as possible.  Supporting information can be in any format you would like to include. For example, screenshots, videos, websites, etc.

Round 2

Please submit your ideas in a text or Word document. Provide as much supporting information as possible.  Supporting information can be in any format you would like to include. For example, screenshots, videos, websites, etc.

We know that our community is full of talented developers with great ideas so we want to hear them. Submit a document with an overview of your use case, how it would use AppStream and why AppStream is applicable for this use case. You can submit as many idea as you'd like for this contest.

At the end of this challenge we’ll take the winning idea and launch another challenge to build it!
