Challenge Summary

Welcome to the eBay Get IT Help Mobile Design Concept Contest

The goal of this contest is to create design concepts for eBay's "Get IT Help" responsive mobile project. We are at the beginning of this project and would like to rapidly design and prototype this application - building off wireframes provided by the client. eBay is looking to provide their internal associates with a simple, clean experience when requesting IT technical support. They are looking to create an Uber like experience and need your help and innovative design experiences to make this a reality.

We want the application user experience awesome and most importantly it must be simple, easy and hopefully fun for the user who is requesting help!

Design Concepts Problem
- eBay wants to develop a responsive (mobile/desktop/tablet) application to allow internal associates to request IT technical service help.
- The application needs to modern and helpful for anyone seeing IT help
- Wireframes have been provided but we need great design concepts!
- This is a "Design Concepts" contest. We would like you to focus on the overall eBay "Get IT Help" user experience and how a user would interact with its features.
- The application will be responsive and the device screens will adapt for different devices. Refer this site for best practice of responsive design website.
- For this contest you just need focus on mobile device version and the request onsite technical help function.

Screen Sizes
This application must use fluid layout that will support these device screen: 
- iPhone Retina (640x960px)
-- Submit iPhone Retina version (Portrait View) for our review.  Retina version with Portrait & Landscape view will be task for contest winner.

Supported Platform
- iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8.

Design Theme
- Follow existing branding from eBay website eBay Inc. website
- Simple, easy and fun!
- Put attached eBay Logo (ebay_logo.eps logo.png) in your submission design.
- Be creative in your user experience! Show us multiple concepts if possible

User Story
- Executive user accesses "Get IT Help" Application via his or her mobile device.
- They then select one of the available IT Help options (By Phone, By SMS or By OnSite Technical Help) - focus on OnSite Tech Help.
- Request would be routed to eBay IT Technician group where one of the Technicians would accept the request.
- Technician would have access to additional information about the requestor such as name, picture, location.
- The technician would push multiple notifications to the requestor such as “request received, ETA of 5 minutes” or communications like “I am getting close”.
- Once the technician shows up they would scan a QR code on the requestor’s device to confirm the appointment, help them through their issues and scan the QR code or indicate that the request was solved.
- The requestor would receive a survey allowing them rate the service the technician gave during their encounter.

Submission Requirements
- Initial Wireframe: GetIT_Now_TechView.zip (This is just starting point, you need show us a much better UI/UX experience)

1. Application Dashboard
- Customer opens the application and is shown this landing page (00_GET Help.png)
- Click the 'GetIT Now' button would reveal the available options: by Phone', by SMS' and by OnSite' (01_GET Help.png)
- User tap on by 'SMS' option will show the confirm screen (02_GET Help.png).
- User tap on by 'OnSite' option will show the confirm screen (03_GET Help.png) - our focus for the contest.
- User tap on by 'Phone' option will show the confirm screen (04_GET Help.png).

2. SMS Flow
- This respond sms show after customer tap on by 'SMS' option (05_GET Help.png)
- There will be respond status information from IT Technician (06_GET Help.png)
- IT Technician will send sms to customer phone, and customer can communicate with IT Technician (This communication use default mobile device sms application)

3. OnSite Flow
- This screen shows after customer taps on the 'OnSite or 'in-person' option (07_GET Help.png)
- User can enter their problem, or select dropdown by pick available options (07b_GET Help.png)
- Google Map placed below the input.
- You can use location based feature to speed up the location searching

- NOTE:  the client will provide detailed floor plans during the project development phase so an indoor google OSM mapping feature can be implmented and used within the application.  TopCoder will develop this OSM feature during the project as a stand-alone service that can be used by the Get IT Help application.

- 'I'm ready' button will send information to IT Technician
- This screen direction to customer location. (07a_GET Help.png)
- This respond sms show after customer tap on by I'm Ready button'. status information from IT Technician. Customer provided with 'Call' and 'Text' option on sms respond (08_GET Help.png)
- Notification when IT Technician heading to customer location (09_GET Help.png)
- Status Updates from application about IT Technician locatin (10_GET Help.png)
- When user tap 'Visit Complete', there will be a QR code on the requestor’s device to confirm the appointment (11_GET Help.png)

4. Phone Flow
- This screen show after customer tap on by 'Phone' option (12_GET Help.png)
- Screen need show 'Facetime' activity, also the related action buttons.
- There will be respond status information from IT Technician (13_GET Help.png)

5. Feedback
- Customer would receive a message to rate the service the technician gave during their encounter. (14_GET Help.png)
- Tap link will open default mobile device browser and take to provided url (15_GET Help.png)
- Star Rating flow (16_GET Help.png, 17_GET Help.png, 18_GET Help.png, 19_GET Help.png, 20_GET Help.png, 21_GET Help.png)

6. IT Technician Flow
- When customers request IT Help, it will inform IT Technician mobile device (TechView00.png)
- Accept button state with green colored style (Tech View00_accept.png)
- Ignore button state with red colored style (TechView00_ignore.png)
- This is GetIT Now Open Request screen (TechView01a.png)
- Open Request screen after the request accepted (TechView01.png)
- On the clock means are IT Technician available or are they working, Off the clock means unavailable and not working/on break. 
- When user accept the request, confirm message show up (TechView02.png)
- This screen show 'Call' and 'Text' option, also map location of customer.
- There's also I'm near button, to inform customer about IT Technican's location. (TechView03.png)
- Scans the users QR code to conclude the in person visit. IT Technician earns a token for each QR code scanned per day. (TechView04.png)

Judging Criteria
- How well you create/design eBay "Get IT Help" Hybrid Application in storyboard screens.
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.
- Superb User Experience.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator and saved as layered PSD or AI file.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
