Challenge Summary

Hey TopCoder Community!  We need you're help updating the overall design of an existing web application.

Introducing MVA's Meeting Voting Application. This app is used to collect votes and feedback about companies during a meeting.  Most users access the application from their iPad, but some also view the app from their browser or mobile phone.

While functional, the current application is missing some pizzazz: overly blue, inconsistent navigation, graphics from the 90's.

We're looking to spruce it up a bit!  We look forward to your ideas on how to improve the overall user experience!

Round 1

Provide some example pages that highlight the goals of our redesign for feedback:
- Updated skin
- Updated navigation
- Updated graphs

Initial Page Designs
- Home/Meetings page = landing page, navigation, list of Meetings.
Post IC Voting page
Post IC - Chairman's Dashboard and Summary page

Any additional screens you can provide for feedback or features you would recommend?

Round 2

Provide complete design based on challenge requirements, with client feedback applied.

Final Design Plus Checkpoint Feedback
- Home/Meetings page = landing page, navigation, list of Meetings + filter.  Any additional features?
Meeting page = title, Agenda, Materials (attachments), Post IC Voting, IC-Only
Agenda Item page
Post IC Voting page
My Votes page
Pre IC - Chairman's Feedback Summary page
Post IC - Chairman's Dashboard and Summary page
Any additional screens you recommend as part of your design

Primary Goals
The goal of this challenge is to improve the overall look-and-feel of MVA's existing mobile Voting Application.  Users use this Voting Application during meetings to vote on companies of interest, collect feedback, and make decisions based on all votes.

For this challenge, we are looking to you to create an updated user experience (UX) for the Voting Application.

We see this as being:
1) Improved look and feel (re-skin)
2) Improved navigation (layouts, pages, and user flow)
3) Improved infographics (graphs, charts, other)

General Requirements
- Produce an updated user experience (storyboards) that can be used to demonstrate all screens/functionality required.
Designs should be viewable from mobile or desktop browser (majority of users view from iPad).
The design must be easy to use and intuitive.
You should cover all screens mentioned in contest round details.
Screens should be numbered correctly to explain the storyboard flow to us. (00, 01, 02, 03 etc)

Branding and Guidelines
- Your design should be optimized for use on an iPad, but should also support viewing from a web browser from a computer
Colors are open to the designers.  Current application is "overly blue" (and gray).  Client's primary colors on corporate website are white, dark blues (#072759, #002c63, and #003366), and lighter grays (#f2f2f2, #e7e7e7).
Fonts are open to the designers.  Current application uses standard Arial.  Client's corporate website uses "proxima-nova, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;".
Since primary users will be iPad users, we recommend using design features in common with native iOS applications
There are currently some inconsistencies with navigation across the app: we hope you can improve upon this.
The app is used at 3 different times (as describe in the "Voting App Specs", under Application Flow). It might make sense to move the existing components around to better reflect the flow.

Storyboard Requirements
- Make sure to provide screens for popups, collapase/expandable features, error forms, and so on.
- Submit iPad size/versions of your redesign

- Portrait (2048 x 1536)
- Landscape will be considered for final fixes

Project Documentation
- "Voting App Specs.pdf" - Walkthrough of existing application pages and notes!

Judging Criteria
- Overall look and feel of the design
- Simplicity and consistency in the design
- How well you follow the client's branding / design guidelines.
- Any suggestions, interactions and user flows you recommend (provide any notes or comments for the client)

Target User
- Corporate users within a meeting setting.
