Welcome to the Appirio Architecture Schematic Infographic Challenge FAST.

This challenge is focused on redesigning an existing schematic and giving it a clean and professional design. The schematic is meant to help illustrate an application for a presentation and we need it to look sweet! This is a high profile project and very important to Appirio. So bring your A game! We have a quick turn around on this challenge, so we're looking for speed as well as a great design.

Round 1

Initial Design for the Appirio Infographic Schematic concept that you will create.
Initial Infographic Design in 1024px x 768px size

Round 2

Complete Final Design for the Appirio Infographic that you will create.
Final Infographic Design  in 1024px x 768px size


Appirio would like you to focus on designing an infographic that would replace current layout. How should the infographic look? What should the concepts portray to infographic in an interesting way? We are looking for the best way to design and explain this concept visually.

Design Notes:
- We are not looking for perfection - but focus on idea and portraying the provided concept
- NO istockphoto allowed in this contest. Use your own designs and illustrations
- Please make sure you listed all Fonts you used on your design to avoid failed screening.
- Any original graphics must be created as vector graphics from Adobe Illustrator (.ai) source files.
- Infographic design must look Clean, Professional and Modern!
- Infographic design MUST bring fresh feeling when user see it on the first time.

Infographic Design Requirements:
- How infographic title designed?
- Your infographic need capture ALL content based on attached Appirio-Infographic-Schematic.png
- Put logo placeholder in your infographic. Where it should placed?
- How do you divide/grouping all sections in new infographic design?
- Make sure all lines easy to track connections between sections
- Please look to use icons to represent the different aspects of the schematic such as "storage" or "server". Icon design need cleverly present each aspects. Do some research!
- Your icon design CANNOT be iStockPhoto. You need create your own icon design.
- How all those arrow connection designed in infographic way?
- Focus on the "Infographic" aspect - show us your concepts! We are interested in what content should be shown in the poster and how it should be illustrated.
- In Round one your design doesn't need to be perfect - show us your concepts, ideas and illustrations - so we can provide you feedback/art direction.

- Is your design engaging?
- How well you represent / convey information in your infographic design.
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design
- How well it will translate across different media, powerpoint, print, etc.
- Simplicity of design / strong, clear design concept

Branding Guidelines
Color : Open, but there's option for you to use new TopCoder design theme
Fonts : Open to designer, Please be aware of font delivery requirement.
Size : 1024px x 768px

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission file.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator and saved as layered AI files.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. As part of final fixes you may be asked to fix or update your screens to meet any missed requirements, forum requirements or milestone requirements.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • New to Studio? ‌Learn how to compete here
  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.

Screening:

All submissions are screened for eligibility before the challenge holder picks winners. Don't let your hard work go to waste. Learn more about how to  pass screening.
