Challenge Summary

Welcome to topcoder - Case Studies PowerPoint Template Creation Challenge. In this Challenge, we are looking to create a reusable powerpoint template (.potx) based on the provided PowerPoint slides (pptx).

We would like the given PowerPoint presentation (available in google drive folder) to be editable and should allow a user to add any new Case studies/generic slides wherever needed by having it as a template.

Downloads for this challenge are available in Google Drive Folder which requires prior permission to access..please see the challenge description for more details on this.

Challenge Details:
In this challenge, we have identified slides from
Design-Template.pptx (available in google drive folder) that we would like created as templates. Review the provided slides and convert them to reusable text/image placement fields within powerpoint. The goal is to create a reusable presentation that we can quickly edit and create new case studies (Instead of creating them all in Illustrator or Photoshop).

Please note, files for this contest are available in Google Drive. Once you register - please request access to the Google Drive Folder by sending a request mail to csystic"at"gmail.com and amorehead"at"appirio.com.

IMPORTANT!!
- We have attached the icons and images (available on google drive) used within the slides (
Design-Template.pptx) to allow you to create the template.
- We would like you to match the font properties if possible.
- Please pay attention to the given submission deliverables. (given below)

Submission Deliverables:
For this challenge, you need to submit
- PowerPoint Presentation Template files in .potx format…this file just has the layout and all properties as shown in the given ppt.
- PowerPoint Presentation files in .pptx format…use your PowerPoint template file which you created and create the given presentation (Design-Template.pptx).

Challenge Requirements:
For all the below requirements, please use your expertise to decide on how to organize the slides in the template file.

0) Cover Slide: (1 template slide required - slide 1 and slide 3):
- Text box for a short text (Example: Who is, Why)
- Image box at the top to allow a user to add logo, follow the size of the logo.
- Text box to enter a title below the logo.
- Please Note: We required one slide for this – so it can be reused wherever required.

1) topcoder services (slide 2) (1 template slide required):
- Image box at the top to allow a user to add logo, follow the size of the logo.
- Should allow a user to enter the title for the slide (What is a Challenge?) and a horizontal line below that.
- Need ability to enter text below the horizontal line.
- Need ability to add graphic (image) below the text as shown in slide 2.


2) Difference between Traditional and TopCoder (slide 4) (1 slide required):
- Image box at the top to allow a user to add logo, follow the size of the logo.
- Need two text boxes to allow a user to edit the text (For example: Traditional Agency / [topcoder])
- Need two columns with Image boxes in each column below the text boxes which should allow user to add an image as shown in slide 4.


3) What is a Challenge? (slide 5) (1 slide required):
- Image box at the top to allow a user to add logo, follow the size of the logo.
- Should allow a user to enter the title for the slide (What is a Challenge?) and a horizontal line below that.
- We need text and images in this slide to be editable.
- Use the icons as required in this slide.
- Should allow a user to edit numbers within the Calendars icons shown at the top for Start, Checkpoint and Final (slide 5)
- Need ability to change the Client Name.
- Add Image boxes Should allow two columns of 4 images each as shown in the slide 9.

4) Who are we? (slide 6) (1 slide required):
- Image box at the top to allow a user to add logo, follow the size of the logo.
- Should allow a user to enter the title for the slide (What is a Challenge?) and a horizontal line below that.
- Need ability to enter text below the horizontal line.
- Need a text box below, follow the alignment and font styles.
- Image box below that which should allow to add a graphic as shown in slide 6.


5) Customer Quote (slide 7) (1 slide required):
- Need a header at the top with editable text box in the left side and a horizontal line as shown in slide 7.
- Image box to add a logo, follow the image size.
- Below that we need a text box to enter few lines of text.
- At the bottom below, we need a text box to allow a user to enter "Client Name"

6) Case Study Title (2 slides Required - slides 8, 13):
- Title text box for Client Name
- Heading for "the Problem" and text box to enter problem details
- Heading for "the solution" and text box to enter solution details.
- In another template slide, we need background Image with the ability to change the image shown with the iPhone device.
- In one template slide, we need background Image with the ability to change the image shown with the iPad device.
- Please create a header as required (for example: we have header in slide 13).
- Please Note: We need two variations of this “problem & solution” slide and variation can be seen in slide 8, 13.

7) Showcase: (7 slides Required - slides 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16)
- Header with text box in the left side to enter the name of the client and have a image box at the top to allow a user to add logo, follow the size of the logo.
- Device background with option to add image within the device to showcase designs.
- So, in all the below mentioned slides - add a image box within the device layouts - so a user can add/change image within the device (Desktop/Laptop/iPad/iPhone).
- Need a template with three iPhone device (Slide 9)
- Need a template with eight iPhone device (Slide 10)
- Need a template with one desktop device (Slide 11)
- Need a template with one laptop device (Slide 12)
- Need a template with one iPad device (portrait view) (Slide 14)
- Need a template with two iPad device (portrait view) (Slide 15)
- Need a template with iPad device (landscape view) (Slide 16)

8) Challenge & Project Metrics (2 slides Required - slide 17/18, 19)
- Header with text box in the left side to enter the name of the client and have a image box at the top right to allow a user to add logo, follow the size of the logo.
- Need a text to enter a title, say for exaple "Challenge Metrics/Project Metrics"
- Another text box to enter points as list, follow the bullet styles as shown in the slides.
- Background is required as shown in the above-mentioned slides and see if its possible to have the top color as changeable directly here in ppt.
- Need to show the icons for the "Copilots, Challenges, Submissions, Duration and Prize Money" (Note in slides 19 - we don’t have submissions icon, so that is the variation required i.e. one slide with all 5 icons and one slide with 4 icons).
- Please add a text to allow a user to edit/change numbers for each of the above icons.
- Please Note: We need two variations in the layouts here; variations can be seen in slide 17/18 and 19.

Branding Guidelines:
- Please use topcoder logo wherever needed from the .AI files and use the appropriate topcoder logo styles by following the given PPT (Design-Template.ppt).

Judging Criteria:
- How well your powerpoint is created and editable
- Are the required text elements editable?
- Can a user replace the images for different case studies with the device (iPhone, iPad and desktop) layouts?
- How well you follow the font-properties and match the layout of the given PPT.

Submission & Source Files 
Preview Image 
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File 
Please submit the .POTX (PowerPoint Template) and .PPTX (PowerPoint Presentation) files for review.

Source Files 
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Microsoft PowerPoint and saved as .potx, .pptx file format.

Final Fixes 
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your template to match the given PPT.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
