Challenge Summary
Welcome to the eBay "You Just Made My Day" Refinement Design Challenge
The purpose of this refinement design challenge is to take what we learned from the first challenge, refine it by working from the design direction documents (attached) and create a better user experience. It is important to build on what is provided to make it better. Remember...this is a 'refinement' challenge.
"You Just Make My Day" is an application to create an easy way to say "thanks" when someone makes your day a little better, your job a little easier, or makes you think, "That's how it's done!”?! The "You Just Made My Day" is a virtual pat on the back for employees to send to other employees.

Design Considerations
- eBay wants to develop a responsive (mobile/desktop/tablet) application.
- The goal of this design challenge is to refine the winning design of the previous challenge.
- Keeping the spirit of the purpose of the application.
- Following the design direction documents for both desktop & mobile.
- Note: Your new application design will fit within the provided navigation
- Use current "flat design" techniques and iOS7 influence
- Ensuring it is EASY to use.
The User Story
- The user accesses "You Just Made My Day" Application via his/her mobile or desktop browser
- The user will access the application Homepage where it shows some postcard examples.
- The user will select a postcard to send to another employee.
- After a post card is selected the user will be able to personalize his postcard.
- Then the user will be able to preview his postcard and send it or get back to edit his message again.
- If the user sends his postcard a confirmation will be shown that his postcard is sent.
- On the other end the recipient will be able to see the post card when he opens his email.
- Also the manger of that employee will be able to view the postcard sent to any of his team members.
Submission Requirements
- Based off of the winning design we want to further refine this APP. We've provided a design direction doc for the desktop and mobile versions that refines our flow as well as gives direction for our design refinement. The client likes the simple use of color that we used in my design direction doc and the general overall feedback is to simplify the color usage and use more blue, gray's and black's than green's and yellow's in the design.
- For this refinement challenge we'll concentrate on 2 versions for the landing page and for the card select page. We still like the idea of a landing page that has a strong graphic much like the winning submission (Winning Submission.zip), but the client would also like to explore a landing page that has the cards for selection on it instead of clicking into a card select page.
- We're also exploring 2 different UI versions of the card select page:
1- First version has a "tabbed" approach that organizes the cards by category.
2- Second version is just an endless scroller that has ALL the cards available arranged in a grid.
- The rest of the screens we need to match what we previously had in our last challenge.
- The only additional screen flow that we need is the "How it works" flow, it can be found in design direction documents.
Note: You can use the assets from the last challenge for visuals. (Card Images Assets.zip)
