FAST!! Conference App iPad and iPhone Design Concepts Challenge

Welcome to Conference App - iPad and iPhone Design Concepts Challenge!
The client is a company that seeks to create an app with dynamic content for conferences, that really adds a "wow" factor to event management and attending. The app will act as a container for other client experience content and events - allowing users to register for events, view schedules, stream video content, look up venue information, and interact with the event in a number of ways. 

In this challenge, we are actually looking for 3 screens of the app in both devices. But you are welcome to include any additional screens to explain your ideas.

Round 1

- 2 screens each of your initial design for both iPad and iPhone screens
- Any notes for client about your design / ideas.

Round 2

- 3 screens each of your final design with for both iPad and iPhone screens with checkpoint feedback applied.
- Any notes for client about your design / ideas.

 

 

Primary Goal:
On this contest, we need you to design some screens for client's Conference App. The app will act as a container for other client experience content and events - allowing users to register for events, view schedules, stream video content, look up venue information, and interact with the event in a number of ways. The features are listed below. The conference app will act as a container for different events' content. You need to design this for a user who's looking to register for a conference and when they're attending, have access to all the conference information and extra dynamic content that really adds to their experience.

Sizes: 
iPad : 2048 × 1536 pixels at 264 ppi (Retina Display) - (Landscape View)���
iPhone: 640 x 1136 px screen resolution at 326 ppi - (Portrait View)

iPad Screens Design Requirements:
- Leave a logo placeholder
-  Show a touchable list of menu selection items (icons) on a view or menu.

Required Screen - Intro Screen:
-  Overview of My events per day
- Messages/Tweets list (related to the events)
- News and Updates (room changes, time changes etc)
Additionally, if you choose to, you may design a simple Welcome/Splash screen.  
 

Choose any 2 (two) screens/features from the following to design:
Agenda:
- Touchable calendar of events by day
-  Add events to my calendar
- Tweet/Share events (Social media integration)
- In-app notification of my upcoming scheduled event for example: "Presentation on Mutual Funds begins in 30 minutes in Ballroom A”

Speaker/Presenter List and Detail (counts as 2 Features):
- List of Presenters. Touching each one opens:

1. Bios/Photos
2. Headshot image
3. Lorem Bio
4. Connect through Social Media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Like, etc)
5. Access to Company write-up from here.
6. Access to this presenter’s scheduled presentations from here
7. Presentations and Research
       - Print Document
       - Email Document
8. 1x1 Scheduling activities
       - Request on presenter’s bio page
       - View open time slots
       - Select one to schedule/add to my schedule
       - In-App notification/Reminder of appointment

Venue Information:
- Google Map of area
- Near-me points of interest.
- Restroom locations in the building (floorplan)
- Conference room locations by name (floorplan) 

Videos and Webcasting/Livestream: 
- Information overview videos for subject matter
       - Video length (minutes)
       - Lorem overview
       - Video thumbnail

- Live stream video of some events, indicated on each event in the calendar.
    - Only need to show that some events indicate they are live streamed, and there is a view for for the the event with an image.
    - Video controls (Play/Pause/Stop) 

iPhone Screens Design Requirements:���
- Please design for portrait orientation only at the specified size.
- Leave a logo placeholder.
- The look and feel should be like the iPad Screens Design
- Please design the same screens that you make for iPad, at iPhone size. The navigation items remain the same
- The navigation items and contents are the same as listed above. Wherever you feel there is too much information to be displayed, it can be scrollable content or you can suggest an alternate way to present it.

- Fonts are open to the designer

Istock Photos:
- You are free to use iStockPhoto(s), to give the app some added attractiveness. Please use only photos and no stock vectors or illustrations.
- Remember to declare all the photos you use, otherwise your submission will fail screening. See how to do this on Stock Photography section on the bottom of this spec.

IMPORTANT
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance

- Attendees of Conferences
- Users looking to attend events

Judging Criteria:
- How well you plan the user experience and capture your ideas visually in iOS7 design trends.
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design
- Your design should possible to build and make sense as a tablet / mobile application

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file, or in Adobe Illustrator as layered AI file.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on other checkpoint feedback.
