Welcome to the FAST!! eBay IdeaLab - Single Page Theming Design Challenge!!

For this challenge, we are looking for you to review the provided design and change the graphical elements to align with the provided theme "inspiration". We are looking to swap out the existing image assets with a more "flat" design.

We have a FAST!! Checkpoint - we want to quickly show some ideas for a Monday review!

Challenge Details
Download the provided design and review the graphic assets in the zip "Graphics That Need To Get Updated". Take this existing design and change the graphical elements to align with the theme inspiration located here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B7McrhuVgMdyeUk1R1NhUDdLODQ&usp=sharing

IMPORTANT!! Design Considerations:
- You are not required to completely redesign the page; we are just looking for you to apply the new inspirational theme to the "graphics that need to get updated"
- We have added “Graphics That Need To Get Updated” folder, which has all the UI elements that need to be updated in the page.
- Please create new UI elements based on the given theme and also update them in the given main image “IdealabCurrentState.png”
- We are also looking for you to suggest the design changes that matches the new UI elements.
- Fonts and colors are open to the designers.
- You will need to focus on flat design for the new image assets.
- In the Final Round we will need updated/final replacement PNG images for the "graphics that need to get updated" folder.

Below are the UI elements for which new designs need to be created as per the inspirational theme…

Logo:
- Come up with a new placeholder logo for this as per the new theme.

Top Navigation:
- All these three buttons in the navigation needs to be changed as per the new theme.

Banners:
We have used three banners across this page, all these need to be modified as per the new theme. The banners that need to be updated are.
- Top graphic below the main navigation
- Ideas banner (above Hackathon Ideas)
- Innovation Summit (above Summit Contacts)
- Contact us (below Summit Sponsors)

Flyout Menu:
- We have a flyout menu when the user clicks on the “+” icon, how this needs to created.
- Please consider the background banner because this flyout will be shown as the user scrolls through the page, so please make sure to come up with a design that is clearly visible across all backgrounds.

How it works?
- All icons in this section need to be changed as per the new theme.
- Also make sure whether the background goes well with the new design if not please change them – so it compliments the new icons.

Upcoming Events and How can you get Involved?
- The graphics shown in these sections need to be updated.
- Come up ideas on what can shown based on the new theme

Judging Criteria: 
- How well you design the UI elements based on the given requirements.
- Does the page convey the given inspiration theme?
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.
- Design looks and User Experience.

Submission & Source Files:
Preview Image
Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Please upload PNG images in a zip file with all requested contest requirements stated above.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator and saved as layered PSD/AI files. 

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. 

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.

Screening:

All submissions are screened for eligibility before the challenge holder picks winners. Don't let your hard work go to waste. Learn more about how to  pass screening.
