Welcome to [topcoder] - MESH01 Communities Banner Design Challenge!!

In this Challenge, we are looking for your help in creating promotional banners to be used on the MESH01 site and also MESH01 promotional banners to used across the [topcoder] site. Lookig forward to your design solutions!

Round 1

Initial Banners for checkpoint review
- Banner 1 (both concepts)
- Banner 2 (any 1 concept)
- Banner 4 (any 1 concept)

- Please number files (01, 02, 03 etc.) - it’s easier to review with the client.
- Notes.jpg: Any comments about your design for the Client

Round 2

Final Banners for the given requirements
- Banner 1 (both concepts)
- Banner 2 (both concepts)
- Banner 3 (both concepts)
- Banner 4 (both concepts)

Challenge Details
The Purpose of this challenge is to design and create promotional banners for two websites (topcoder and MESH01). We want to cross promote our two communities! We want to introduce and promote MESH01 challenges to the [topcoder] community and also promote [topcoder] challenges to the industrial designers on MESH01! 

At the end of the challenge, we need 8 banners i.e. 2 banners concepts for each of the requirements mentioned below.

Banner Considerations:
- We have attached the topcoders banners that were previously designed
- Please reuse any of the design vector elements that are attached to this challenge but please DO NOT USE the images from it as it was created with a different concept

Required Banners:
We need banners that can be used for advertising to cross-promote of the sites communities

MESH01 Banners:
We would like you to design a banner with below concepts..
- MESH01 is a great Industrial Design crowdsourcing community
- The MESH01 banners which you are designing will be used accross the below mentioned sub-domains at topcoder
- Please go through the 
http://www.mesh01.com/info/Design site to learn more about challenges they are running as those will be banner concepts

Banner 1
This banner will be used in http://studio.topcoder.com
- Required Size: 782 × 175px
- Design the Headline and Sub-Headline to be used in your banners.
- Please make sure the text (headline and sub-headline) conveys/grabs attention of the topcoders
- Typography is something that is important to designers. We need a banner that show's a designers touch. We want to have an inspirational tone, so the addition of some inspirational photography as a background will reinforce this concept.
- Design banners for the above two concepts

Banner 2: 
This banner will be used in https://www.topcoder.com/community/design/
- Required Size: 350 x 350px
- Design the Headline and Sub-Headline to be used in your banners.
- Please make sure the text (headline and sub-headline) conveys/grabs attention of the topcoders
- Typography is something that is important to designers. We need a banner that show's a designers touch. We want to have an inspirational tone, so the addition of some inspirational photography as a background will reinforce this concept.
- Design banners for the above two concepts

Banner 3:
This banner will be used in http://www.topcoder.com/community/
- Required Size: 320 x 127px
- Design the Headline and Sub-Headline to be used in your banners. 
- Please make sure the text (headline and sub-headline) conveys/grabs attention of the topcoders
- Typography is something that is important to designers. We need a banner that show's a designers touch. We want to have an inspirational tone, so the addition of some inspirational photography as a background will reinforce this concept.

We would like you to design banners with below specifications..
- The Topcoder banners which you are designing will be placed on http://www.mesh01.com/
- Please reuse any of the design vector elements that are attached to this challenge. Please DO NOT USE the images from it as it is for a different concept
- You need to follow the below concepts

Banner 4:
- Required Size: 728 x 90 px
- We have attached the topcoder banners that were already created, feel free to use the vector elements from it but make sure to use the concept mentioned above.
- Use a Headline and Sub-Headline from the banner which we have attached, feel free to change them as per the concept.
- Typography is something that is important to designers. We need a banner that show's a designers touch. We want to have an inspirational tone, so the addition of some inspirational photography as a background will reinforce this concept.
- Design banners for the above two concepts.

Target Audience:
Communities of both [topcoder] and MESH01 Sites!!

Judging Criteria:
- How exciting your design is! - are you interested on clicking and checking out this other site and community?
- Typography within the Banner.
- Originality and Design execution

Submission & Source Files:
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG image files based on contest submission requirements stated above.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator and saved as layered PSD or AI file.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes for this contest, you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
