Challenge Summary

Welcome to Appirio Corporate Presentation Storyboard Design Challenge. We’re excited to bring a new challenge to the creative community. In this opportunity we need to create slides (png screens) for a corporate presentation that will be used as template by a sales team. In other words, you’ll be creating a concept and design for a presentation template.

Best of luck!

Round 1

For your R1 deliverables please submit the requested slides design under “Slides Requirements” section.

Round 2

Final design will contain all the requested slides design under “Slides Requirements” section plus any updates from client feedback.

The primary goal of this challenge is to design the concept and look of the Appirio presentation slides template. This template will be the baseline for further presentations by sales-oriented persons.

After this challenge ends, we’ll implement these slides as a Google Presentation document, there will be simple transitions, not fancy animations. You must focus on the style and content formatting being simple so anyone can create a presentation using this as a baseline.

Branding and Guidelines
- Slide dimension should be 1280 x 720 pixels at 72dpi resolution.
- The slides must look corporate, professional, sharp, and easy to read.
- Colors must follow the Appirio Branding (AppirioBrandingGuide.zip). You are allowed to visit the website for more visual details.
- Fonts should follow the Appirio Branding (AppirioBrandingGuide.zip). If you don’t own any of the required fonts please use Arial or any other eligible font familiar. You’ll be requested to replace the fonts at the end of the challenge if you become a winner. Declare your fonts according to the Studio font’s policies.
- You’re allowed to use stock photography (optional) for your presentation. You must declare the photos you use (if you do). Read the stock photography guidelines below.

Slides Requirements
Concept
You must create a consistent theme across all the slides that represent the Appirio branding very nice. This must be simple and yet elegant, dramatic. You are provided with a set of resources to have an idea of what the client wants, references. This is how you should use them:
- TemplateReferences.zip; these are blank templates ready to use, the kind of output we’re looking for. Notice how they cover several useful slides for a presentation from scratch. DO NOT copy anything from this presentation, use as reference only.
- CorporatePresentationSlides_v1/2; these are the existing Appirio presentations the client likes the most. Consider we’d like to see something NEW, so don’t copy. You can re-use the content for creating sample slides and assets, such as pictures.
- We’d like to see some sample stock photography or placeholder for images in several slides; as well as icon designs that compliment the slides titles and content.
- Follow “Slides Baseline” below as a starting point for the template. You are encouraged to come up with more ideas (a lot more) for making this template more complete and useful. This means you can provide more unique slides, alternate styles, sample slides with real content, etc.

Slides Baseline
1) Welcome
- Use the bridge image as background (CoverBackground.png). (You can manipulate this image)
- Add a presentation title.
- Place Appirio logo.
- Make sure the title reads nice in dark and light backgrounds.

2) Table of Content
- Design a table of contents slide that works as an index or agenda of the presentation.

3) Content Layouts
- Design a slide that shows the overall template for the pages and content. Create a defined header, footer and content area.
- Add Appirio logo.
- Add page/slide title “Company Overview”.
- Use “lorem ipsum” text as content. You are encouraged to explore the this page and take content to create some sample slides. That would look more complete.
- Make sure to display different text formatting scenarios (create the necessary amount of slides to achieve this):
-- Subtitles
-- Bullets
-- Numbers
-- Inline image placeholder
-- Anything else you can think of.
- Show several variations of layouts:
-- Full layout (content covers the entire slide, no columns).
-- Two columns layout (balanced width: 50% left, 50% right).
-- Left two thirds column layout.
-- Right two thirds column layout.
-- Any other layout you can think of.

4) Table Layout
- Design a data table slide.
- Use “lorem ipsum” as text content.

5) Showcase Layout
- Design a slide (or several slides) that show a set of items to showcase, like clients or projects, with details.

6) Charts
- Pie Chart
- Bars Chart

7) End slide
- Create a closure slide for the presentation.
- Add Appirio logo somewhere and a “thank you” message. You can come up with any idea for this slide, such as adding contact information, questions, image, and so on.

Target Audience
Current and potential Appirio customers.

Judging Criteria
- Capability to explode the initial concept into a complete template.
- Originality.
- Design execution.
- Quality of graphics.
