Contest Details
The goal of this contest is to design the Front and Back cover of the TCO14 Program. We have a lot more information to display this time, so we're using a larger program. The program is one of main assets the attendees at the TCO14 get at the event, and it is important for the front cover to be catchy and appealing to the eye. We need a design that is visually attractive and embodies the competitive spirit of the entire event. Members from around the world will meet in San Francisco to compete, so make your cover design memorable and descriptive of their efforts.
This program will also incorporate a number of additional events for developers we have in the works for TCO14. Keep in mind this program won't be just for a tournament but for information on everything happening onsite at the TCO14.
Design Requirements
1. Front Cover
- The front cover must contain at least one recognizable TCO14 logo.
- You may make copies or move the logo, but one logo must remain recognizable at its original size.
- All instances of the logo must retain the correct aspect ratio.
- You may add other text to the cover such as "Event Program" or anything that complements your design, but it is not a requirement.
- The only requirement is the use of the [tco]14 logo.
2. Back Cover
- The main function of the back cover is to represent all of our sponsors.
- The back cover must contain spots for five sponsor logos. Please do not use any actual logos - use placeholders for the sponsors.
- It must also include the TCO14 logo and the [topcoder] logo.
Design Notes:
- The submission template is attached: Program_Cover_Template.ai. The areas are sized at A4 size (8.3" x 11.7"). Also, you must follow the bleed guidelines (0.25" on each side) within the template.
- Each design must contain at least one (1) recognizable [tco]14 Logo, as well as one (1) [topcoder] logo.
- DO NOT add any additional logos, including the Studio logo or Sponsor logos. All instances of any logos must retain the correct aspect ratio.
- Please use the attached template, do not use any other program design templates otherwise your submission will fail screening.
Fonts
- Fonts are open to the designer. Please be aware of font delivery requirements.
Colors
- Colors are open to the designer but should complement the main colors for the TCO14. Moderate use of gradients is acceptable. Please refrain from using gradients to fill entire page backgrounds.
