Challenge Summary

Welcome to the Hestia New Platform Phase 2 Catalog UX Design Challenge. For this challenge we need you to focus on enhancing and updating the Hestia B2B customer experience!. The Hestia B2B New Platform is being designed and developed in stages with different levels of functionality. The Hestia design team is currently finishing up Phase 1 of the user experience. We want to jump in and start focusing on Phase 2 of the customer experience and that means updating the design to accomodate functionality that an experienced B2B user expects from the application. 

The next series of challenges is to update and add new customer functionality to the existing Phase 1 design and user experience. We need you to focus on enhancing and creating a better user experience (without changing the site design) by adding in the new user requirements.

Challenge Details
Hestia always looking to give their customers a better user experience by updating and enhancing the user experiences of their existing websites and applications.For this challenge we need your help to analyze the currrent Phase 1 user experience of the provided screens and update or add new functionality based on the provided requirements to meet our Phase 2 user experience goals.

IMPORTANT!

- We are focused on a "responsive design" experience
- You need submit Desktop (1024px width & height up to your design) and Mobile (320px width & height up to your design) screens for this challenge

Challenge Requirements:
Phase 2. ADVANCE FEATURES

1. Specialty Catalogs

- We need to add the concept of "Speciality Catalogs" to the provided user experience. Hestia B2B customers should be able to see "Speciality Catalogs" that allow them to quickly see and find products that are labeled and sorted wtihin a specific grouping. 
- We need to add Speciality Catalogs to the new site design. You need create this NEW page on your submission.
- Specialty Catalogs are "Lead Law", "Outlet Deals" and "My Top 100" How do we add these to the existing user experience? What needs to be updated or changed?
- Do the icons stay the same or do they need to be udpated to fit the new style guide?
- You need to design a way to access the Specialty Catalog from the existing Category Page (B-PDP/1024_c4-category-landing.jpg)
- We would like users have the ability to turn off that type of catalog.
- Create how mobile design look for this page.

2. Product Details Page

2. 1. Share Product Detail Page
- We would like the B2B customer to have the ability to socially share the product details page - how should this work?
- We would like the B2B customer to be able to share the page via email
- For this task you need to provide ideas/solutions on the what best way to embed social media onto the Product Page page
- Provide screen designs for the step-by-step process of a user sharing the Product Detail Page 
- Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest (what other social items?)

2. 2. FOL User will control the pricing view
- We want to provide the B2B customer the ability to hide/show pricing the product details page.
- This functionality will only be provided to a select group of users (based on permissions)
- Where should this funtionaly be added to the page? How should it work?

2. 3. Export Product Detail Pages
- We want to provide the B2B customer the ability to export the Product Detail Page
- The user needs to be able to export to PDF or Print with or without pricing information
- How would this flow and functionalty work?

Target Audience
- Hestia B2B Application user - who is used to and expects this functionality.

Judging Criteria
- How well you create the updated user experience for Phase 2 of the Hestia B2B application
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.
- User experience for application.

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image

Please create your preview image as one (1) 800x800 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. You are free to resize or crop your submission to fit this size, but do not add any filters or elements for dramatic effect, such as drop shadows or reflections.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission file. IMPORTANT - If you are submitting "small updates or changes" with multiple submissions please include in your notes file what is different or changed - this can be confusing to the client sometimes when they can't tell what is different.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
