Challenge Summary
Welcome to Mondelez Tablet App Design Concepts Challenge. In this challenge, we are looking for your initial design concepts that will help us visualize the tablet screens needed for a new product application. This application will be used by our sales team to monitor real-time product and store information.
We currently do not have any formal requirements beyond the listed Use Case Scenarios. We are looking for you to provide design concepts and click-paths based on the provided Use Case Scenarios. This is the first step in planning our new tablet user experience!
In this contest we are looking for DESIGN CONCEPTS on how this Tablet Application could work. What should the user see and experience when using the application?
Round 1
Submit your design for a Checkpoint feedback
1. Landing page
2. Multiproduct Comparison Use Case Scenario
3. Single Product Analysis Use Case Scenario
4. If you have time - a 1024x758 presentation/overview of your design
- Feel free to add any other additional screens which are necessary to explain your concept and flow
- Notes.jpg: Any comments about your design for the Client
- Make sure all pages have correct flow! Use correct file numbering. (00, 01, 02, 03)
Round 2
Your Final designs for all the required screens with all checkpoint feedback implemented
1. Landing page

The Purpose of this challenge is to come up with initial design direction for a tablet application that will deliver real-time insights in a graphical way that compares our company products or categories vs. competitors or against each other, analyze store performance vs. territory /district and identify opportunities. We are looking for the topcoder design Community to help us with planning our new "user experience" (UX).
Screen size:
- Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (10”): 1280 x 800px
Design Concept Goals:
- How should this tablet application look?
- Suggest user screen flows and navigation.
- What should the priority features be?
- How quickly could you find information?
- Think simple but effective solutions! Have fun creating this - let us know how you think it should work!
Design Objectives:
- Deliver real-time insights in a graphical way that compares our company products or categories vs. competitors or against each other, analyze store performance vs. territory /district and identify opportunities.
- Manual store selection should be available.
- Use a predefine asset library with company and competitors products and logos. Use these images to select the products / categories to compare and display results.
- Display comparison result at category, brand and SKU (stock keeping unit).
Design Guidelines:
- Drag and drop or visually select product images or brand logos to define products to compare.
- Ability to search products by UPC (universal product code).
- Application should be graphic driven, not text.
- Minimize navigation and number of screens.
- Ability to switch between results graphically without changing pages.
- Ability to take and save a snapshot of the results and share.
- Ability to save and share images of comparisons
- How can the functions and navigation be optimized?
- How should things be grouped to keep the experience useful and simple
- What features need to be prominent and what features can be found?
Design Considerations:
- Data will come from multiple sources.
- An on-screen navigator will be used to select which data set to display.
- There will be a total of three data sources to rotate through initially.
- Hierarchy: Region - Store – Category – SKU (stock keeping unit).
- Results should be displayed as visually as possible.
- Reduce navigation.
- Deliver multiple views without complex navigation.
This application will have three (3) use case scenarios:
1) Multiproduct Comparison Use Case Scenario
- Sales representative meets with store manager and review product mix and performance.
- Open the “Competitor App” and select products, brands or categories to compare.
- Show results to store manager, share the multiple query results.
- Save comparison and send it to store manager.
2) Single Product Analysis Use Case Scenario
- Sales representative has the ability to conduct product inquiries around multiple variables.
- Sales representative opens the app and selects the product he wants to analyze.
- Using predefine queries the app graphically displays all the results for the multiple variables on a single view.
- Sales representative shares analysis with store manger.
3) Store Comparison Use Case Scenario
- From main screen Sales representative selects “Store Comparison”.
- App recognizes the current store (or user selects store if not in store) and has the option to compare store performance against territory / district and highlights the opportunities.
- The App delivers the key metrics in graphical way.
- Comparison results can be then shared.
Branding Guidelines:

DO NOT COPY the wireframes exactly
- They are meant to help guide you and let you understand the application the audience would like to see designed (and the graphic quality we are expecting).
- Think about the user experience/user interations and show us your solutions!
- How does the navigation slide in/out - what is a great UX for this type of application?
IMPORTANT
