Challenge Overview
We are starting a new series of challenges to build an application and need your help to get started. For this challenge we want you to create a simple app with MEAN.io, set it up to use the attached Bootstrap layout, wire up the login/logout functionality and add a couple of example page that can be used for subsequent challenges to build out the app.
Final Submission Guidelines
Here's what you need to do:
- Create a new application using MEAN.io called "CodeYourWayIn". The content of the application is not as important as the Angular application functionality. We'll be changing the content in later challenges
- Use the the iFlat theme for the application (the files are attached). The theme came as an Angular app so you can use it for reference. Move the assets (css, javascript, etc) from the sample application to your MEAN application. Make sure Bower, grunt and Yeoman are working properly for future development.
- When you are done with the theme, you can delete the original templates or move them to another directory as they shouldn't be needed any longer.
- Use the sample signin and signup pages to implement that functionality with MongoDB. No social signup. Just username/password.
- Modify the menu on the left to only contain the /dashboard, /tasks, /ui/typography and /ui/widgets pages. These pages should only be accessible when the user is logged in. You can use the current content of these pages, just make sure they are using the Angular routing.
Documentation will also be important. Please include simple instructions on how to setup and start the application, modify files, makes changes to Angular, etc. for future challenges. What would you need to know if some one handed you this application and told you to make enhancements to it?
Submit either a video of the application in operation or post a URL so that we can demo it.
