Welcome to the Hercules PCDVR MyStories Video Editing Tool Design Challenge.

For this challenge we need your help to create storyboard screen that will improve existing design look and feel of My Stories Video Editing Tool screen flow within Hercules PCDVR application.
For this challenge you just need focus designing on iPad Retina screen sizes. Read more detail requirements below.

Hercules PCDVR is application for instantly watching TV shows and movies on any TV or stream them on your computer, tablet, or smartphone.

"MyStories" is Video Editing Tool within Hercules PCDVR application that will allow user to create their own custom video that can combine pictures and videos also allow user to set provided video theme and background music.

For this challenge, you need recreate some screens that will improve existing design look and feel of "MyStories" flow on iPad Screen Sizes.

MyStories Design Submission Requirements
Notes:
- You're encouraged to suggest latest/up to dates iPad UI/UX interactions for this MyStories flow
- Follow screen size format on Checkpoint and Final Deadline requirements
- Use iStockphoto images for thumbnails, you must declare them to avoid failed screening
- Pay attention to screen requirements needed on your submission deliverables stated on each flow.
- You need follow existing design branding for "MyStories" look and feel
- Refer attached MyStories.pdf for screenshots below.

1. MyStories Landing Page

- Put dummy header based on screenshot, we need you focus on red rectangle area.
- You also need show "MyStories" tooltips designed
- All graphics and text need to be editable. Pay attention to any icons/button placement.
- On body area, There will be big "Create Story" button. How you design it?
- Need show gallery showing "Recent Stories" that contains some thumbnails of videos. Notice there's video icon as thumbnail indicators. How image indicator look?

2. Select Footage

- For this screen how the header should designed? Play around with typography, icon, button and links.
- On this flow, you need show ys how selected thumbnail flow should happens?
- Show us how selected and not selected button look
- How every different sectiosn designed?
- Notice there's also disabled thumbnail, this mean that video story already created.
- There's also "More" button that will expand the section to view all contents.
- Create separate screen show section expanded (screenshot: MyStories.pdf > page 3)

3. Select Theme

- Mimic Header area content and style based on provided screenshot.
- This page tell user to pick provided theme
- Need modal window validation error if user not select any theme.
- There's Back and Prev button to let user navigate

4. Select Music

- At first load of this screen there will be a message to access iTunes Library
- After iTunes Library access approved need show list of music, how the list designed?
- How user select the Music?
- You need create separate screen show clearly how Select Music flow designed.

5. Name your Story

- There will be a success message show up after user enter name for story input and click create my story button
- How the Name your Story form look?
- Create Story button need prominent

6. Library

- User taken to Library page after create new story.
- Your design task for this screen starting from "Sort", "List/Grid" view option also the gallery area
- You also need show pop up that tell user "Story is Ready"
- How Design look for List and Grid View?
- How the new thumbnails gallery designed?

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file or any source graphics you created in Adobe Illustrator and saved as AI file.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics.

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
