Challenge Summary
Welcome to Connected Clinic - Mobile Application UX Design Concepts Challenge.
Connected Clinic is a new health services application that allows health care providers and patients track their progress on detailed health care plans and templates. As a mobile application, this will be used to help manage the patient care process on a variety of platforms. For this challenge we want you to focus in on the tablet and mobile experience of this application. This application will utilize Salesforce to populate and manage the detailed data for patient records.

The main goal of this challenge is to take the provided mobile design problem and design a simple, clean mobile user experience (UX)!
Design Considerations:
- Please go through the design guidelines given in the design direction document.
- Medical imagery and collaboration between doctors and patients will work for your concepts.
- REMEMBER: DO NOT COPY the wireframes exactly - The wireframes are meant to help guide you and let you understand the application the audience would like to see designed. Think about the user experience/user interactions and show us your solutions! You can do something different or whatever you think make sense of this mobile application.
- Have the size of your designs as iPad Landscape layout (1024 x 768 px)..
- Please make sure to have the UI elements which you design as scalable vectors, so the final designs can be resized to retina resolutions.
Scenario:
Patient Use Case Scenario:
George leads an active lifestyle and doesn’t want to be slowed down by managing his health care. Recently George has been using ConnectedClinic to manage his health care progress. ConnectedClinic is a mobile application that provides George with a easy way to track and manage the different goals and tasks that are part of his provided health care plan from his health care provider. George can easily log on to his mobile device to collaborate with his physicians and manage his goals and tasks on his way to a more healthy life. Thanks to ConnectedClinic...George can get back to “hanging 10” in no time!
Health Care Provider Scenario:
Dr. White has many patients to manage and track along the health care plans that he recommends for his patients. ConnectedClinic allows Dr. White to easily browse pre-existing care plan templates to choose for his patients (or create a custom care plan template), assign goals and tasks within a care plan template, collaborate with other care providers and patient contacts, present and consult with his patients, and manage the day to day tasks that keep Dr. White busy.
**NOTE: We will have you focus on the Health Care Provider scenario for the majority of this challenge
Required Pages:
Below are the screens required for this challenge..
1) Welcome/Splash Screen:
- What should the splash/ landing page of this application look like?
- Think on what we need to show in this screen, what messaging will let the user know what this application is all about?
- Think of this as a good visual introduction to the application concept.
2) Main Navigation:
- What kind of navigation items would we want to have in this application?
- The sample above shows more of a navigation scheme for the health care provider. A patient view might be more simplified.
3) User Profile/Dashboard:
- What items would be beneficial for our target users on a dashboard?
- A dashboard view will be helpful in getting quick access to important tasks and goals and overall management of health care items in this application.
4) Select a Template:
- A Health Care provider can browse through pre-existing health care templates to assign to their patients, edit and customize a plan, create a new health care plan are all features we want you to explore for your concept.
5) CarePlan Action Goals:
- This is a detailed view of a Health Care Template.
- Add the goals and tasks “inline” to make this custom for an individual, the ability to assign a template to a patient, mark an item as complete or assign an item to a team member are all features that we want to see exploration on for your concept.
6) Case View:
- The detailed case view shows a 360 degree view of a particular case.
- Top line information about a patient and patient team should be visible with a clear overview of health care plans that this patient is currently part of, open goals and tasks for this patient, activity feed and patient care teams all are easily managed and tracked from this view.
- Please go through the "Salesforce View" as this is he current view within Salesforce.
- This gives you a good snapshot of the type of information that we want to display in our case detail view and are looking for you to come up with a better user experience design for this.
7) Goals and Tasks: (Mobile View)
- Please have the size of this mobile screen as 640 x 1136 px..
- It’s important to think how your concept looks in the mobile view, but we want to see how this Goals and Tasks tracker would look for a patient who is using this APP.
- Please include this in your design concept.
8) Presentation Slide:
- Create a presentation screen of your design concept!
- Showcase your submission within a tablet.. (you can come up with your own templates for iPad landscape layout)
- This will be a great way to showcase your design to our client
- 1024x768 (4:3 Ratio)
Target Audience:
- This application is for the health care industry and it’s target users will be health care providers and patients.
Judging Criteria
- How well you design the provided design challenge
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.
- Design and User Experience.
