Welcome to Claims Management - Responsive Website Design Concepts Challenge!
In this challenge, we are looking for your help to design a responsive web application that helps users manage the warranty coverages for the product they purchase and also allow a way for them to claim warranty for product that requires repair or replacement.
We are looking for your help to design the application user experience. We want to showcase how easy it is to engage the [topcoder] design studio community and demonstrate how well you can take ideas and turn them into great design and user experience concepts! Best of luck to you all!

Purpose of this design challenge is to come up with the initial design directions for below given requirements. The main goal of this challenge is to take the provided design problem and design a simple, clean user experience (UX)!
About the Client:
Client of this project is a leading service contract provider for warranty management, compliance, insurance and underwriting in consumer electronics, automotive and credit card enhancements.
Design Considerations:
- We have attached the wireframes which should help you to get started.
- REMEMBER: DO NOT COPY the wireframes exactly - The wireframes are meant to help guide you and let you understand the application the audience would like to see designed.
- Think about the user experience/user interactions and show us your solutions!
- We have allowed stock photos, please use images that your see fit for this application and make use of it appropriately.
- Please use a placeholder for logo..
- Please follow the branding colors from the attached reference(Branding Colors.png.zip)
- Screen Sizes: We need the below screen sizes:
- - Desktop: 1024 px width and height as required..
- - Mobile: 320 x 480 px
Application Flow:
- User must register product for coverage to apply, coverage will only apply to items that were registered with the client.
- User will manage the products that were registered via this portal.
- User will be able to initiate claim via this on-line portal by selecting appropriate product for which warranty claim need to be raised.
- User responds to a series of questions to determine eligibility for claiming warranty for a product that needs repair or replacement.
- User uploads photo of product to rule out physical damage.
- Based on the approval (which happens internally) - customer will be notified via email and also need to indicate the claim was accepted.
Required Pages:
We need the below pages to be designed..
1. Homepage
- This will be marketing page that need to illustrate how simple it is to use this site which allows them to register a product for warranty coverage and also allow the user to claim in case of any issues with the product for repair or replacement.
- Come up ideas on how effectively your designs can engage a user to register with this website?
- We need to show links that allows the user to sign in and register.
2. Sign In/Register:
- Allow a user to sign in by entering their username and password
- We also need a way to allow the user to register with this website - details are open to the designers.
3. Registered Products and Claims Management:
- This is the default landing page for the user.
- Come up with a navigation structure for this application..this being a responsive application, think of a mobile navigation as well..
- A user will be able to view the list of products they had already registered for warranty coverage.
- Generally a user can register two type of products - it could be appliances or electronics, think on how this can be shown effectively in your designs.
- Each of product need to show the coverage details (term, type of coverage (replacement/repair or accidental damage plan), length of coverage and age of items).
- What else do you think will be beneficial here?
- Should they be allowed to view details of the already registered product - how do think the details page need to laid out in your designs?
- How to show the list of products for which the user had already claimed a warranty? Feel free to show your ideas.
4. Product Registration:
- User will register the product that they purchased to get warranty coverage.
- For each product that are being registered, they will need to enter/choose “product type (appliances or electronics), term (single pay/month), type of coverage (replacement/repair or accidental damage plan), length of coverage (New: 2, 3, 4 or 5 years and Used: 1 or 2 years) and age of items (think this can be captured based on purchase date)”.
- Note that: Its not required for a user to enter "Customer Information" every time they register a product.
- Need to allow the user to submit the details and show a success message.
5. Claim Warranty:
- How do you think a user initiates a claim for a product?
- User will need to select the product that they had already registered for warranty coverege.
- After choosing the product, user will need to start answering a series of questions that will help determine the eligibility of a product for warranty.
- They will need upload the product photo to rule out any physical damage.
- User will submit the form, please show a success message.

Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.
Submission File
Please upload PNG images in a zip file with all requested contest requirements stated above. Number your files (01, 02, 03, etc) this will help review them in order.
Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator and saved as layered PSD/AI files.
Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.
