Welcome to the Applause Pathway Dynamic Infographic Design Challenge

After successful previous Cycling Jersey Kit Design Challenge, this time Applause invite all Studio creative minds again to share their ideas how the the Dynamic Infographic should designed to represent single app based on data from the Applause API.

The goal of this challenge is to create a dynamic infographic for a single app based on data from the Applause API and the selected app ID. Infographic should be “tall”, and use 300 DPI resolution that it can be printed as a poster at about ~24inch x 36inch size

We would like you to focus on designing an infographic that use Pathway visualisation base design by transforming provided information on spec details below.
You need think how should the Pathway infographic look?
What should the icons/concepts portray to infographic in an interesting way?
We are looking for the best way to design and explain this concept visually.

Design Notes:
- No istockphoto allowed in this challenge. Use your own designs and illustrations.
- Your submission should reflect Applause Logo Design Theme.
- Refer attached Infographic-File-References.zip for images/screens stated on spec requirement below.
- If you have an idea for a item that we are not providing - ask us and we will try and find the information
- In Round one your design doesn't need to be perfect - show us your concepts, ideas and illustrations - so we can provide you feedback/art direction.

Color Theme

Primary brand colors (from the circular ring of Applause logo) are as follows:

Fonts : Open to designer, Please be aware of font delivery requirement.
Size :
- Design Need look tall!
- Size should ~ 24inch x 36inch
- Use 300 DPI resolution for source files
- Use 150 DPI or 72 DPI resolution for your submission images to make us easy to review.
- We could post it on the blog or website
- We might print it in poster sizes

Applause Pathway Infographic Design Requirements:
- The Applause Pathway Infographic should be divided into 2 sections
- We want the designers to come up with whatever idea they have for the customer's "journey." They don't need to have sky on top and land on the bottom. We want designers to come up with creative ways to display this.

The Competition

2. Bottom Area: (Path with segments section)
Header: “Focus on these areas for the fastest path to a 5-star app”
- You need design separate segment for each attribute. e.g. a segment is visually a ‘turn in the road’, or one of several rolling hills, etc.
- The segments should be for the worst, second worst and thirst worst scoring quality attributes in the order of top to bottom.
- It is possible that the app has less than 4 attributes with a score.

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image

Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit 150 or 72 DPI JPG/PNG for your submission file, so make use easier to review your submission.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator and saved as layered AI files.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. As part of final fixes you may be asked to fix or update your screens to meet any missed requirements, forum requirements or milestone requirements.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • New to Studio? ‌Learn how to compete here
  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
