Challenge Overview

Project Overview:

Welcome to the Mnemosyne Mobile App P2 - Social Media UI Prototype! The goal of this challenge is to update the HTML5 Prototype application for iPad/iPhone based on provided storyboards to include social media related screens.

As part of this challenge you will need to document all HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript code. We need clear explanation of the code to help us figure all the HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript code functions and make it easier for future developers and the client to understand what you have built.

NOTE: This application  use AngularJS Framework (http://angularjs.org, http://docs.angularjs.org/guide) and Bootstrap 3 (http://getbootstrap.com/getting-started). Please follow coding standards and write clean code for AngularJS data binding instead of using plain HTML code.

IMPORTANT: As per the project schedules the review timelines are very close. Reviewers please note the review timelines for further reference. Please request us if you need additional time for review in case we get more number of submissions.

Tips for Success: Asking questions early and getting Copilot or PM's feedback is very important for the success of this challenge.

Competition Task Overview:

The main task of this competition is to update the HTML5 prototype by integrating the social media pages. Your prototype must work properly in all the required Mobile browsers. Support retina display is out of scope for this contest. The MOST IMPORTANT browsers should support on latest iPad safari browsers.

Mediafly Interactives: This application will be packaged and deployed on mediafly interactives. Please follow the development guideline of Mediafly Interactives on this prototype implementation.

Required Pages (iPad Landscape, Portrait and iPhone Portrait mode need to be supported)

01 - Social Media Feed Display (1_Social_Media_feed.jpg)
The user gets to this page by clicking a "widget" element on the first screen.
It shows feeds from a social network. We need to see the following:
- A stream of text updates. Must include the profile photo of the poster, # of likes/retweets, # of comments.
- If a link is shared include the name of the content and a picture from it.
User must drag to display more when they reach the bottom.
This needs to be as generic as possible and incorporate as many features from the most popular social networks out there like Facebook, Tweeter, LinkedIn and Youtube . In the future we will customize this page for each individual network.

02 - Social Media Page (2_1_Social_Media_Page.jpg)
This screen should show a social media page, where the user can for view a tweet or status update. We need to see the following:
A single tweet or update.
Display comments/mentions below it.
- Able to see who has liked it (

Should display a video player inside a modal window/panel. Please design all the standard items for a video player. (Already designed but we need some additional buttons for it. Make sure it has all these elements: play/pause, trackbar, volume, buffering, minimise/maximise, anything else you can think of and would be helpfull.

Please use Youtube player for demonstration.

04 - Framed out embedded browser view( 4_Framed_out_view.jpg)
This screen should display a modal window/panel that will hold the content of a web page. Text, images, video preview, basically anything that you can find a regular web page.
