The primary goal of this challenge is to propose a brand name for the ERP application and to design a logo that incorporates the name you chose, it’s that simple! We are looking for you to create an exciting, modern logo, that reflects the Big Heart Pet Brand. This is a unique challenge and a great opportunity to see your logo displayed to everyone across the organization.

Big Heart Pet Brands makes and distributes various pet foods. We recently became our own company and with the new company, we want to be more innovative, adaptable and act more as a start-up business. To help us reach our goals, we are building a new integrated cloud based system that will replace a number of our old antiquated systems. This is the system you’re designing the logo for and giving the name.

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is a business management software that a company can use to collect, store, and manage data from many business activities, including:
- Product planning, cost and development.
- Manufacturing or service delivery.
- Inventory management.
- Shipping and payment.

Design Requirements
1) Name Proposal
- Provide a JPG/PNG Screen or text file with one name proposal for the logo. Explain why you chose it, what it stands for, what it represents.
- Make sure to read the challenge description which contains information about the system. That will be helpful when thinking in ideas for a name.
- These are some names we have evaluated and think that are the way to go: Max, Rover, Fido, Companion, Treat, PAWS, Pals, The Paw, iPaw, Wag. Obviously you must come up with a new name, DO NOT use these ones.

2) Logo
- Create a vector logo in CMYK color mode. It must be created with Adobe Illustrator. All of the items must be vector elements.
- The logo name and design must reflect the ERP application and fit in with the Big Heart Pet Brand. Some keywords to help: Innovative, Adaptable, Cutting-Edge, Pets, Heart, Inclusive, Start-up, Fun.
- It must read the name you propose.
- Use the following colors (Not all colors need to be included):
-- Brown: PMS 4625 c | C43 M74 Y83 K58
-- Red - PMS 186 c | C13 M100 Y90 K4
-- Orange - PMS 179 c | C5 M92 Y91 K1
-- Yellow - PMS 135 c | C17 M46 Y100 K2
-- Gray - PMS Warm Gray 1 c | C10 M8 Y10 K0
- Provide the color pallet of your final logo.
- Avoid gradients, as they will not be able to be easily reproduced across all media.
- Show your logo on a white and black background.
- Be creative with fonts. We prefer the Gotham family. Find some similar fonts in the allowed list of Studio fonts or sites. Make sure to declare your fonts according to Studio font’s policies.

Target Audience
The system will be used for our salesmen, warehouse, procurement, finance, accounting, customer service and factories. The name and logo must speak to the entire organization. The age and the make-up of the organization vary, but they have a number of very tenured employees (10 - 40 years tenure).

Judging Criteria
- Completeness: does your logo meet the requirements as stated within the challenge?
- Quality: does your logo look fresh, professional, and clean? Is the composition/layout well done? Have you used typography in a meaningful way?
- Concept: does your logo present a new and interesting concept? Is it simple, yet memorable?
