Challenge Summary
Welcome to Mertesacker Part II - Simulator Environment Front End Web Design Challenge
Mertesacker II is the next challenge in the Project Donner suite of micro-services and the follow up to Mertesacker I. This will be followed by one more challenge in this series to assemble the API from Mertesacker I with this challenge.
In this challenge we'd like a creative design for software developers to manage "Environments", "Rooms" inside those Environments and "Devices" inside those Rooms. This app will help the developers in developer 3rd party software that controls the Devices in the rooms.
Round 1
Submit your initial Submission
We would like to see the look & feel of the Main screen
Round 2
Final Design with updated checkpoint feedbacks
All remaining screens and interaction to convey your design idea
We’re asking for some creative design work around the following concept. We’d like to develop a site on top of our API that provides users with the ability to set up “Environments”, “Rooms” in those Environments, and “Devices” inside those Rooms. In addition to that the Devices have properties on them that they can edit. Ultimately what we need is a UI that allows for:
- The creation, editing & removal of Environments and Rooms
- The addition and removal of Devices to Rooms
- The editing of details on Devices
Assume that the users will need to authenticate before using the designed UI Refer to the attached Halo-Design-Direction.pdf for style/design guidlines
