Challenge Summary

Welcome to the ZC Supplier - Candidate Comparison Responsive Design Concepts Challenge. The goal of this challenge is to create a new page that will allow for the Customer Manager and Program Administrator to compare pertinent details between candidates in order to select the best one for a specific job or project. We are looking for you to think about this within the context of responsive design that can adapt to all platforms – computer, tablet, mobile.

In this challenge we are looking for DESIGN CONCEPTS on how this Web Based Application could work. What should the user see and experience when using the application?

Note: ZC has embarked on a complete redesign of the UI for this application.  Note that the screenshots included are from the old UI and are displayed for the purpose of understanding the business process only. The designs to be submitted for this challenge should follow the design guidelines in the attached documents.

Challenge Description:
ZC is a contingent-workforce management and pay-rolling vendor.  We have a web-based application that is used to facilitate the hiring and management of a contingent workforce.  It is a highly customizable, multi-tenant application that is utilized by thousands of users working for, or on behalf of, hundreds of different ZC customers.

Users of this application fall into one of 4 roles:
Program administrator – the ZC user that is overseeing the process for the customer.

Customer manager – the person trying to fill open positions with contingent workers.  He/she creates job requisitions, selects and interviews candidates, and approves time and expense for contingent workers.

Supplier/Recruiter – representative of an employment agency being utilized to fill open positions.  He/she submits candidates to job requisitions, oversees the entry of time and expense for hired workers, and monitors the payment of invoices by ZC.

Resource/Worker – the contingent worker.  He/she submits time and expense reports.

The goal of this challenge is plan the click-path design around how to create a new candidate comparison screen that will be optimize the ability for hiring managers and the PM team to compare and select the best candidate for the job required.

Screen Sizes:
Desktop & Tablet: 1024px x 768px
Mobile: 320px x 480px

Supporting Documents:
- Use the colors and brand from the attached Branding Guidelines (Branding Guidelines.zip)
- Screenshots for the current application (Screenshots.zip)
- Requisition Data (data.pdf.zip)

Steps to get to the new page (reference information only):
- Currently, for each Job Requisition, Hiring Managers and PM users have a “Submissions” page that lists all candidates that have been submitted by suppliers.  This page will allow users to “select” candidates for further review.  The proposed “candidate comparison” page should be triggered/spawned from this submissions page.
- There will be two different versions/views of the submissions page - one view for Hiring Managers and another view for the Program Manager users.  Alterations to these pages is NOT part of this challenge.
- Reference submission-page.png to understand submission page.
- The “candidate score” is a hyperlink that displays the Candidate’s competencies and certifications, please reference candidate-competency-and-certification-screen.png

Required Screens:
1) Candidate Comparison Page:
- As noted, this will be the new page “spawned” from the candidate list page described in the previous section.  This page should allow the user to view and compare detail information for the workers selected.

Key Requirements:
- The page should allow “side by side” comparison of data
- The user should easily be able to perform applicable actions for the candidate as needed:
-- View Resume
-- View Profile
-- Request an Interview
-- Request a Counter Offer
-- Track Activities
-- Add Notes
-- View Notes
-- Decline the Candidate
-- Extend an Offer
-- View Additional Attachments
- As noted, there will be 2 different versions of the Submitted Candidates List Page. Thus, the new page will need to accommodate both scenarios (ie likely to be a “pop-up page” or a view that can be accommodated into two different frames).
- Although the user will be able to select a number of candidates for comparison. The “average maximum” will likely be 4 candidates compared at a time.  We’d like to optimize the maximum number so that all the data on the screen is displayed clearly.
- Design must be in line with new UI standards for the ZeroChaos application (see attached documents for home page and design rules).
- The page should display all of the general data for the requisition (reference data.pdf).
- The page should display all of the proposed fields for each of the selected candidates (up to 4) as defined (reference data.pdf).  Note that the table below lists the maximum fields.  In some cases less data will
be displayed.

Important:
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance.

Target User:
- Customer Manager.
- Program Administrator.

Judging Criteria:
- How well you plan the user experience and capture your ideas visually
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design
- Your design should possible to build and make sense as a tablet application
