Challenge Summary

Microbac is keeping to bring more values into their customer web portal to satisfy their customers. Now we are going to add more functionality into our web portal so our customer could fill and submit samples analysis and information in our portal. In this challenge, we need your help to design a storyboard based on document that is called Chain of Custody. At the end of this challenge we are looking for clean, professional and great user experience solution.


Project Overview

Microbac is an analytical laboratory testing firm that seeks to leverage a customer care portal that will attract, engage, convert and retain customers to increase top line revenue growth. Through the use of customization and personalization, Microbac will engage and allow their customer to quickly locate the information they need. Microbac is certain that improving access to information, demonstrating thought leadership in its online offering and improving customer care will increase the likelihood that a customer will return to the site and continue to do business.

Challenge Details

1. Chain of Custody record as shown in COC_Enviromental (Sketch) PDF document is a report form that is used by our customer to report their samples analysis and information.

2. All fields in Chain of Custody record have to be included in your solution including Keys Legends.

3. Each record only have one main information (client/company, project name, project location and so on).

4. Each record may has more than one sample information. Explore the solution for this so it still user friendly but not too crowded.

5. You may add solution so it could improve functionality of this Chain of Custody record such as Save as Draft, Export to File etc.

6. You may design your solution on provided template (Template.zip). Place the header 'Chain of Custody' between tab 'Home' and 'Results'.

7. You may change the layout so it fits as web based application, looks professional and user friendly.

Branding Guidelines

- Follow the provided style guide (Microbac - Style Guide.pdf) and screens example.

- Content width size is 1024px.

Target Audiences

Microbac customers, their background varies from staff in food production to consultant engineers to environmental scientists.

Judging Criteria

- Completeness, cleanliness and graphic design of your solution.

- How well your solution follow the design guidelines.

Submission & Source Files

Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission file.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator and saved as layered AI files.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. As part of final fixes you may be asked to fix or update your screens to meet any missed requirements, forum requirements or milestone requirements.

Stock Photography

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
