Welcome to InnoCentive - Solver Challenges UI Design Concepts Challenge. In this challenge, we are looking to create designs for a web application that will be used by challenge competitors of a crowdsourcing website, this will stay as an app within the JIVE software!

About the Client:
Client is a one of the leading crowdsourcing company like topcoder where customer gets innovative solutions from the smartest people, members provide ideas and solutions to important business, social, policy, scientific, and technical challenges.

At the end of this challenge, we are looking for a modern, clean design that captures the possible interactions

In this challenge, we are looking for the desktop screens to be designed for InnoCentive challenges view. It is important to know the target audience for this app, so it helps you understand our expectations. This application will be used by the members (solvers) who will basically participate in challenges.

Design Guidelines:
- We are looking for clean, modern look & feel for this application
- Keep the screeens as intuitive as possible and application should be easy to use.
- We need simple but effective solutions! Have fun creating this - let us know how you think it should work!
- As we are focusing on desktop, please have the size of you designs as 1024px width and height as required..
- Please follow the below branding guidelines!


Branding Guidelines:
- Attached a variety of standard black & white logos (InnoCentive_Logos.zip) in a wide range of formats and sizes.
- A sample header that is a part of newly designed dashboard is attached for your reference!
- The new UX css (please go through "Color Information.zip") for our main dashboard which will contain all of the important color information but our two base colors
 - - Dark Blue: #194465 (primary/main color)
 - - Green: #50853b (secondary/accent color)

We need below screens for this challenge

0) General Requirements:
- Please use the header as mentioned in branding guidelines.
- We would like you to design the navigation that looks efficient and should be available in all pages except "login" page!

1) Login:
- User will have the ability to login into this application.
- User will enter the creadentials (username/password) and submit them to log into this application..
- Feel free to suggest any other required elements/details in the screen.

2) View list of Challenges:
- User will be able to see a list of challenges that are currently open along with their progress the deadline and prizes information!
- We would like to see a section here, which can be called Recent Activities that shows whats going on within this site/community,,for example: John doe has just submitted a solution for "some challenge name"..
- Would it be a good idea to show only the challenges that were registered by this logged in user?
- We are looking for your thoughts on how best to arrange all elements and feel free to add anything that you think is a benefit for users.
- How will the list and grid view look like?


3) View Challenge Details (Public):
- Public view just shows a summary of the challenge..this view show only limited set of details!
- Details of the challenge could include “Challenge Title, Challenge Brief/Summary Statement, Challenge Overview, Duration, Prizes, Submission receievd numbers, Number of members registered"..(you can find details about these fields in the attached "Challenge Details.docx"..
- User will have options to register with a challenge.
- While registering, they will need to accept the “terms and conditions”, which is a part of registering process!
- How do you think these details need to shown in designs?
- Once the user has registered with the challenge, they will be able to see the private details of the challenge (please see below)..
- Come up with designs ideas on how to differentiate between these pages?

4) Challenge Registration:
- A user will have the ability to register with a challenge..
- We show an agreement that the user need to accept.
- Challenges will require the user to electronically sign or accept the agreement before they register..
- Upon successful registration, they will see the private view of the challenge details (please see below)..

5) View Challenge Details (Private): 

- This view will be almost similar to the “Public” challenge details page but full details of the challenge will be shown here and it will only be shown to those users who are logged in and are registered with this challenge..
- Details in this page could include all details as given in the attached "Challenge Details.docx"

- Design an engaging user experience for this page..
- Note that this page will have other views which shows the submissions and messages
- Think on how a user should navigate to these pages?

Messages:
- Challenge participants/admins will have options to message within this open challenge
- Clicking on message thread will show more conversation within that and allows user to post and reply for messages
- "Post a Message" shows how a user can message.
- Feel free to improve the above steps - maybe club them into one, so as to give the user a better user experience?

6) View Challenge Solutions:
- Users can see only the solutions they submitted, other members solutions will not be shown to others!
- Minimum details required for a submission are "Submission #, Submitted On, Submitted By, with options to Download and View"..
- How will the list and grid view look like?

- Cleanliness of your graphics and design
- Does the screens capture all the above mentioned details?

Submission & Source Files:
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file, or Adobe Illustrator as a layered AI file.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
