Challenge Summary

Welcome to UNI - Sales iPad App Icon Set Design Challenge - Part 2. In this Challenge, we are looking for you to design and create 12 related icons that will help sales representatives complete their daily tasks. This app will use your icons to illustrate the different aspects of the sales process.

We had already designed few icons for this application in the previous challenge, so we need to make sure all your icons belong to the same set!

UNI Services is a service-focused leader of branded uniform and facility services programs in the United States. We are looking to design icons for an iPad application that will enable/help our field sales representatives with their day-to-day tasks.

Design Guidelines:
Please make sure you follow below design requirements…

- Theme: Clean, Serious and Professional..
- Icons need to illustrate the related sales concepts
- We had attached icons that were already designed for this application, you need to make sure all graphics are consistent and are a part of the same "icon set" (for example, use the  same perspective, weight, etc), NOTE: This source shows 5 options for each of the icons, it is not necessary to come up with alternate version or but you are not restricted in submitting alternate versions.
- You can look to submit the "Sales Related Concepts and Misc / Global Concepts" Icons in a template similar to the attached sources..
- Please submit the iPad Application Icon (Compass) seperately, you can show a size as 1024 x 1024px and 120 x 120px  - note we will generating various sizes of this "app icon" but for now show those two sizes so it helps us review!
- The key thing is that your designs need to be consistent across all tasks. 
- All icons need to be easily edited and resized
- You must submit .ai  icon source files 
- While we encourage you to research the icon concepts, all icons must be copyright free..

Required Icons:
Provide 12 images (graphics) to support descriptive text for tasks on a sales app.

Apple Application Icon:
1) COMPASS:
- This is the most important icon, as it will be the iPad App icon!
- We would like to see some cool version of a standard compass concept..

Sales Related Concept Icons:
2) Prospecting:
- This is process of searching for new customers/leads
- Maybe a car icon maybe? we specifically DON'T want this to be a truck.


3) KPI:
- A performance indicator or key performance indicator (KPI) is a type of performance measurement.
- KPIs evaluate the success of an organization or of a particular activity in which it engages.

4) Reports:
- This refers to the generals metric or sales reports.

) Projections:
- This icon guesses at how much business will grow in the future

Misc / Global Concepts:
6) Change Appointment Time:

- Purpose of this icon is just to allow the user to change the appointment time
- This must include time concept in the icon. .not just edit concept!

7) Snooze:
- Users see this icon as and when an alert appears regarding the appointments… 
- They can click snooze to make it go away and come back tomorrow! ZZZ? 

8) Map: 
- This allows users to find company on map
- Should we use "upside down teardrop" concept?

9) 
Company Website:
- Tap on this will allow the user to visit an external website for this company

ew Details:
- This is a general icon used in the application that allows user to view the “read only” / non-edit version of details 

11) Edit Details:

- This is a general icon used in the application that allows user to edit the details of any material..

12) Home: 
- This is as in tap to go to home page

Target Audience:
- Field Sales Representatives

- Cleanliness and consistency of your graphics and design
- Quality of your design
- Simplicity.

Submission & Source Files:
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission Files
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator. Each icon should be a single layer, which is easy to apply color changes to.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback and instructions

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
