Challenge Overview
In this contest, we are look for a mobile app implemented with IBM Worklight (which is based upon the Cordova).
The mobile app should only have one screen to select a video file to play:
- A video snapshot should be displayed. The snapshot should come from the video, and it needs to be in the place before user clicks the player button. The player controls (play, pause, stop) should be on top of this snapshot.
- Should auto-detect the mime types supported by the device. If possible, please retrieve the supported mime types from the SDK android; if it's not impossible, just provide a list of supported mime types for each device.
- Inplace playback for all platforms (without using full screen plugin). Please document if this inplace player supports all the mime types supported by the device.
- There should be an option to let us show the elapsed time or countdown or both.
Note that for the mime types mentioned above, you can use the video file extension altogether to better identify the file codec.
You need to make sure the mobile app works on the following mobile devices:
- Android 4+ (Note that html5 video tag doesn't work on Android 4.4.2)
- iOS 6, 7, 8
