Welcome to the Lifelog Mobile App Logo and Seals Design Challenge! In this challenge we will be asking you to help us come up with logo, app icon and seals design for lifelog mobile app.

Round 1

Submit your design for a Checkpoint feedback:
- App Logo:
-- All color on black background.
-- All color on white background.
-- All black on white background.
-- All white on black background.
-- All color with NO brand name.
-- Notes.jpg: Any comments about your design for the client
- App Icon.
- We would like seals of the following themes (3 of 5):
-- Flowers.
-- Emotions (Happy, sad, angry should be included).
-- Your original theme.
- Splash Screen.
- Readme.jpg : Provide notes about your submission.

What are seals?
Seals are like icons, which you could put on a day of the calendar in the lifelog app. Seals are used to record what happened on the day. Please see "Challenge Requirements - 3 Seals" section.

- Please note that seals are for the app designed in the design concept challenge. The app seals must fit in the app’s design.  You could download the design from Google Drive.
- Template (branding-template.ai.zip)

Challenge Requirements:
1- App Logo Requirements:
- The text in logo should say “ifeel”.
- We like the idea of “diary” for the logo, so show us some creative ideas around this.
- The graphic must represent the target audiences stated below in "Target Audience".
- Please stay away from gradients, as they will not be able be easily reproduced across all media.
- You must show your logo on a white or black background (You MUST use the template provided).
- The logo must be shown in various forms on the template (different color choices, layout, font use etc.)
- You must identify your color theme in the submission.
- Designs must be created as VECTOR artwork so they can be resized without a loss of quality. Make sure your logo quality is not diminished when scaled up or down.

2- App Icon Requirement:
- Sizes 120x120, 180×180, 1024×1024.
- The graphic must represent the target audiences stated below in "Target Audience".
- Show something that conveys the idea clearly and simply as an app icon.
- Think through how it would fit well with the theme and function of the app in relation to branding.

3- Seals:
- Seals are like icons which you could put on a post and a day in the calendar.

2- Please check the website to know how our target audience use seals.
3- Please check the website to see varieties of seals.

Please note that No.2 and 3 are cases of “paper” seals but we would like to ask you to come up with seals for the app!  (Of course!)

4- Splash Screen:
- Splash (portrait layout).
- We need 3 Screen Sizes: 640×1136, 750×1334, 1242×2208.
- What the user sees when they tap the app icon and it’s loading.
- Should be consistent in appearance and use for both an icon and as a logo.

All original source files of the submitted splash screen design should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file, or Adobe Illustrator as a layered AI file.

Seals Requirements:
- Please come up with the design for 5 sets of seals.
- Each set has 6 seals.
- Each set has a different theme.
- The following 4 themes are mandatory.
-- Flowers.
-- Hearts.
-- Emotions (Happy, sad, angry should be included).
-- Sweets.
- Please give us your idea about the rest 1 themes, examples:
-- Animals.
-- Food.
-- Symbols.

Target audience:
Japanese women, single, 18 to 34 years old.
- They are supposed to be interested in the following topics:
-- Marriage, Love, Anime, Manga, Child rearing, Cosmetics, Mobile/Video games, Designs
- Important values for them:
-- They would like to enrich leisure.
-- They prefer stable life with lower risks than adventures.
-- They tend to avoid arguments than insisting their opinions.
- They mind how they are thought by other people.

Judging Criteria:
- Creativity: Is your logo visually exciting and engaging?
- Relevance: Does your logo convey the brand aspirations?
- Quality: Does your logo look fresh, professional and clean? Is the composition/layout well done?
- Have you used typography in a meaningful way?
- Cleanliness and consistency of your graphics and icon designs.
- Quality of your icons.
- Simplicity.

Submission & Source Files:
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator. Each icon should be a single layer, which is easy to apply color changes to.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback and instructions.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
