Challenge Summary

Welcome to "FaceIT - Facial Recognition Login Modules Design Challenge". In this challenge we are looking for topcoder community help to create look and feel for our login screen that utilize facial recognition function. Your design creation will become standard interaction procedure for login to our apps. 

We have provided a PDF wireframe to help you get started. Good luck and we look forward to your submissions!

Background Information
We are an international and professional company that is on progress creates iOS app which use facial recognition to login. In this challenge, we are only asking you to create the facial recognition login part. The rest of the app behind the login is still in development. Its a pretty simple use flow. There are basically two user cases :

1. logging in using facial recognition
2. creating an account and taking “selfie” to use for login later

We are looking for the [topcoder] design Community to help us with planning our new "user experience" (UX).

Design Direction
- Simple, Clean modern UI design
- Use FaceIT-BrandGuide.pdf.
- The look and feel from this challenge will be applied to the rest of the app which still under development.

Technology Requirements
- Native iOS 8
- Targeting iPhone 5 (1136-by-640 px)
- Use portrait orientation

Screen Requirements :
1. Landing Screen
Wireframe page 1
- This screen by default will be appear everytime user activate the apps.
- Create simple Logo for this application.
- Main Login Button for user to enter their privileges.
- Option to Create an Account

2. Login Screens

- User needs to scan their face to be able to login (Page 2)
- Error State: Face has not been recognized. Try again or reposition face on screen until face is successfully recognized (Page 3)
- Success State: Your face has been recognized and confirmed. You are moved into the app (Page 4)
- Needs a Back button to go back to the Landing Screen.

3. Create Login Screens
Wireframe page 5 - 8.
- If user don't have any account. they need to create it first.
- Simple forms, Name, Account, Username, Password, these information will be used as fallback login methods (page 5)
- After entered text information and submit the form, they will need to position their face within the dotted area for scanning (page 6 - 8). 
- This interaction will be similar like Login screen : 
* User is scanning their face and adding it to the system to later be used as a comparison to login. 
* This should have a similar "successful" UI when you face is positioned correctly and “error” UI when it’s not.
- After the users face has been successfully scanned, they are presented the photo for confirmation :
* Ability to go back and rescan the face. 
* Hitting "Confirm" will move the use back to the Landing page to then Login.

Target Users
- Internal Employees of our company. 

Judging Criteria
- How well you plan the user experience and capture your ideas visually.
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.
- Your design should possible to build and make sense as an iPhone application (follow iphone UI/UX guidelines).

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file, or Adobe Illustrator as a layered AI file.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

How To Submit

  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
