Challenge Summary

Welcome to Valley Computer - Worker Experience App Mobile Design Concept Challenge.
In this challenge, we are looking for your mobile design concepts to simplify/improve the “global employees” user experience when searching for company policies & procedures, FAQs, Adding/ Voting On New Idea Submissions, Document Retrieval, engaging with human resources, and social networking with other employees. Most company environments have too many sources of information and employees often spend too much time searching for the information they need or having to make multiple inquiries throughout the organization and/or following up on the status of their requests.
Our goal is twofold: to Streamline their experience and provide an engaging environment for employees to quickly find or request the information they are seeking.  We want to make employees feel like they are valued and provide a place that fosters communication.
In the end, we are looking for an easy to use app, focused on a  great user experience. Think of modern UX design and how cool this worker experience system could look and work.

Valley Computer is the codename of the challenge

We want to showcase how easy it is to engage the [topcoder] design studio community and demonstrate how well you can take ideas and turn them into great design and user experience concepts! Cash in on this great opportunity to prove your design skills and get a great portfolio piece in the process. Best of luck to you all!

The purpose of this challenge is to come up with the initial design directions for this mobile based application that will help a global employees easily find the answers they are searching for as it relates to their experience working for the company.

More About Worker Experience:
if you have ever been an employees of company, you have most likely experienced the challenge of finding the information you are seeking.  Whether it is having to navigate to multiple intranet sites looking for the policies and procedures to follow, going to network drives to find a cryptically titled document, calling or emailing a co-worker to inquire about their experience, or calling or sending an email to an HR helpdesk, the process generally requires a multi-step decision tree before the answer you are seeking is found.  And most often, an email request is sent to HR for help, waiting patiently to know if the email was read or assigned to someone who is investigating your issue.

Through this application, we are looking to make this process simple and effective, allowing employees to easily find the information they are looking for in an easy to use mobile app.  We want the experience to be intuitive, fun to use, and provide them a reason to keep coming back and using the app - ultimately allow the employees to be more productive when at work or at home.

Design Considerations:
- We are looking for fresh, innovative and modern design concepts..
- Note that these employees will be a part of a corporate and not focusing on employees at the "Valley Computer" (client), so think corporate in your designs!!
- Focus on the design being a great mobile experience - the application should be designed for iPhone
- Give importance to the overall layout and think on how a user would interact with the content on the page.
- Please feel free to explore your ideas on designing the app, and do some research if necessary to come up with a great UX.
