Welcome to Blue Arrow Mobile App Design challenge. In this challenge we need your help to design a responsive UI for an application that will be used by workers (candidate) of a recruitment services provider. Required functionality is provided to help you design UI that is impressive, intuitive, simple to use and provides anything a user needs at their fingertips. You need to deliver the solution for both Mobile and Desktop version.

Project Overview

BlueSky Resourcing is one of the largest recruitment services provider and pioneering leading edge approaches to delivering complex staffing initiatives and outsourced recruitment services. They provide blue collar resources for its client on a permanent, temporary or contract basis. To expand their services, they are going to build a mobile application for the candidate that is visually impressive, intuitive, simple to use and provides anything a candidate needs at their fingertips.

User Scenario

David is an agency driver, 52 years old, lives in the Midlands, married with 2 children.  David is an experienced driver who holds an LGV1 licence and has completed his DCPC training. He is on Facebook, and uses it mainly to connect with family and his children, one who is at University, the other currently travelling on a gap year. He cares about: Steady employment where he can earn reasonable money; Having access to training that will help him to improve his skills; Balancing his work and family time.

Requirement

Following are required screens and functionality of the application. Refer to provided document for more details requirements.

1. Splash Screen. This is a simple splash screen when the application is 

2. Login/Registration.  User will be presented with the login page after the splash screens is faded. In this screen there are several options to login/register into the application, they are using email/username, JanRain, Facebook and LinkedIn.

3. Landing Page. The default screen of the landing page will shows a list of possible relevant jobs for the user.

4. Apply. This is part of the registration process. Users is prompted to fill in some details to complete their registration. Please refer to provided document for more details and the process flow.

5. Timesheet. This screen will provide information for user with the amount of his working time spent on each job. 

6. Cases. This screen will display list of issues created by the user. User can edit or raise new issue.

7. My Profile. This screen will display detail of information about the user including name, email, address, phone, documents, bank details etc. 

8. My Jobs. This sceen will display list of jobs that has been taken by the user.

If necessary, please provide a note regarding your solution on each preview screen so we can understand it easier.

Branding Guidelines

- Your solution must fit in multiple devices, for this challenge please deliver solution for both iPhone 6 and Desktop version. 

- iPhone 6: 750x1334px.

- Desktop: Width 1024px.

- Follow the theme on bluearrow.co.uk

- Show all hover states for all UI elements (buttons, hyperlinks, select box, etc.)

- Creativity is welcome.

Target Users

The workers/candidate of BlueSky Resourcing.

Judging Criteria

- How well your solution meets the requirements.

- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.

- User experience.

Submission & Source Files

Preview Image

Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. 

Submission File

Please upload PNG/JPEG images in a zip file with all requested contest requirements stated above. 

Source Files

All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop or similar and saved as layered PSD files. 

Final Fixes

As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
