The goal of this challenge is to improve the user experience of the existing site for how a user views the benefits and chooses a card. The main difference from the current UI is: how does the (user) spending type fit into the type of card instead of just viewing the benefits of the card. Customer is open to improvements for both entry points to the two user flows, thereby producing the best UX possible from end-to-end.

Branding:
- Follow the existing site’s look & feel:
https://www304.americanexpress.com/credit-card/compare/?inav=menu_cards_pc_viewallcards

Design goals:
- Focus on design having good user experience.
- Follow branding guidelines from above site!
- Make sure that this application design would fit smoothly and completely within the sample site
- Design Size: We would like you to design desktop screens of size 1200 px (width) and height as required.

Pages/Scenarios:
We had listed the scenarios for which we are looking for design concepts/pages to be designed..

Possible user flow for this new re-defined user experience:
It is important to know the types of users who will be users the application

A. New Members (Potential Cardmember):
- Where do you spend your money, how much spend, here's the range benefits for each card
- Show us how the users of each type would get to their appropriate flows - an info block, banner or similar call-to-action that will appropriate draw their attention clearly if they are
looking to either become a new Cardmember, or change which card they are using out of American Express' offerings

1) List of Cards:
“As a Potential Card Member, I want to be able to select a set of cards, so that I can compare rewards across those cards”
- Screens need to show list of available cards
- Interface need to allow users to choose the cards and provide options to compare them.
- Provide filter options, so they should be able to limit the cards they wish to compare based off Charge/Credit, Reward Type, Annual Fee amount or Co-Brand Partner.
- User should be able to see the comparison of anticipated rewards/benefits (see below) across my selected cards, so that I can make an informed decision about which card to apply for. The anticipated rewards/benefits should be provided as a range of values (e..g 2000-3000 MR points per month).

Spending Profiles:
“As a Potential Card Member, I want to select a "spending profile" to match my anticipated monthly/yearly spend, so that my anticipated rewards is as accurate as possible”
- User need to have the opportunity to select their spending profile (Business Traveler, Office Supply purchases, Entertainment, Household supplies, etc.) and select only one.
- These profile would give the percentages of spend in each category.
- Card member should have an interface to enter an anticipated gross monthly spend for that profile.

Rewards Calculation:
“As a Potential Card Member, I want to be able to manually input my spend in the various categories, so that my anticipated reward is as accurate as possible”
- User will have the opportunity to enter theirspend in various categories (Restaurants, travel, utilities, etc.) if they don’t find a spending profile that matches their spend

2) Comparison:
“I want to be able to see the comparison of anticipated rewards/benefits across my selected cards, so that I can make an informed decision about which card to apply for”
- Based on the card chosen and values entered in previous step, they should be able to compare cards.
- Based on the entered values, we show the anticipated rewards they can expect for the various cards that were chosen.
- The Card Member should be able to see a range of possible reward benefits for their anticipated spend in reward points/dollars as well as statement credits (this is cash back that is credited back to user card balance) and other possible rewards. Other possible rewards would include access to special events, free companion airline tickets and access to concierge.

B. Existing Card Holders:
- Existing spend and comparing it to other cards and letting the user know which would offer best set of benefits

“As an Existing Card Member, I wish to have my previous years Year End Summary used to determine spend in the various categories, so that my anticipated reward is as accurate as possible”
- Existing members need to be logged into to access their previous year end summary. The year end summary will gather monthly spend in the categories.
- The other elements of the experience should be similar to the potential card member experience, but leverage known information where possible.

The end result of either user flow should take the Potential or Existing Card holder to Registration for the card they have chosen thanks to this Card Picker.

Target Audience:
- Existing and Potential Card holders

Judging Criteria:
- How well you plan the user experience and capture your ideas visually
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design
- Your design should possible to build and make sense as a application
