Background/Description
We're looking for new ways to reduce Medicaid costs by nudging constituents towards better health. We believe there is a large market for states and insurance carriers who could use a consumer-focused solution that incents users to improve their health which will reduce claims costs.

Goals of the App
We are using this app to realistically demo how users can use an app to opt-in to allowing their health sensor data to be aggregated into a cloud-based database. Data would be both identifiable and de-identified to gather multiple insights. Have the ability to compare the identifiable health data against health claims data. Use the de-identified data to gain population health insights.

Challenge Goals
- We are looking for your most innovative and interactive UI designs.
- We want you to think outside the box and create something that is visually stunning yet professional and engaging.
- The app allows users to register and track their number of steps over certain period of time using native mobile sensors. Users would primarily use their sensor-specific apps to manage their sensor and activities while the Health Sensor App would provide ongoing updates in comparing their activity against others.
- The user will be able to track their progress and compare how they rank against their peers of similar age, sex and weight that are also using the app.
- The app will also include an Info Screen to
engage the user with opportunities to participate in “walk-off” challenges, health events, healthy eating coupons, surveys, and articles on improving their health.

Elements to Explore
We are looking for clean, modern and user friendly multi-platform UI designs. Your designs should work across iOS and Android platforms. We are focusing on mobile designs for now, but keep in mind that these designs will eventually need to be tablet friendly.

The overall look and design should be really refined and slick. This needs to be a showcase app and your designs should reflect that. Look at the inspiration files we’ve supplied for great UI examples, layouts, really good typography, etc. You should be considering all of these things as you design.

Elements to Retain
We're looking for design elements from best-in-class fitness apps such as Jawbone, Fitbit, Nike, etc. However, we're looking for a new identity and design language. Use the provided Inspiration Document for examples to get started and to start thinking in the right direction. DO NOT COPY, we want your original ideas. In particular, note that the Journey Map was originally targeted at a trade show users.  This app is targeted at Medicaid users who are typically struggling with obesity and chronic disease.
