Welcome to "AppXpress - Stryker Blueprint Logo Design Challenge". In this challenge, we are looking for your help to create logo for our new project called "blueprint". Your logo should be simple, clean, eye catching, professional yet still fun and the most important thing it conveys the purpose or a sense of brand for our products and can be stitched into a jacket or shirt. We are looking forward to seeing your logo creations!

Challenge Brief
We are (Stryker) one of the world's leading medical technology companies and together with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better. Our Company offers a diverse array of innovative medical technologies, including reconstructive, medical and surgical, and neurotechnology and spine products to help people lead more active and more satisfying lives. Stryker products and services are available in over 100 countries. In this challenge, we need your help to create a logo design for our project called "Blueprint". The logo should be able to be use in a jacket or shirt. See more details below!! 

Regarding Project "Blueprint"
Think of a Blueprint as a project to outline the future use of technology.  This is a good overview, http://searchcio.techtarget.com/definition/IT-blueprint,The team at Stryker is going through a Blueprint process (as a project), planning for an implementation of some additional technologies and strategy.  

Challenge Goals
Create a logo for "blueprint" brand that helps to convey it brand aspirations. 

Logo Design Considerations
- Create a logo design that fits with "blueprint" brand aspirations and target. 
- Logo that can be stitched into a jacket or shirt.
- Logo Imagery should reflect "Cross Divisional", "Collaboration", "Alignment".
- Logo should not include "IT consulting" text in it.
- Use different variation of creation, icons/custom graphic, combination of colors, fonts, name + icon combinations, shape, etc. 

Branding Guidelines
- Stryker_Blueprint.zip (stryker logo and current blueprint logo)
- Use color from stryker website, but it is not mandatory.
- Feel free to explore the best concept and color for the logo, but we may have additional guidance when we get checkpoint submissions. 

Logo Requirements

1. We are looking your logo in different design elements, which are :
* Logo Icon, a stylized "blueprint" icon or logo that relates to the blueprint brand concept, create a black and white version and a also a color version of this icon.
* Logo Type, create a version of your logo and pair it with the name of the company "stryker", the logo should have an options that integrate with Stryker Logo and options that stand alone.
- Do not stuck in one design process, create different variation of design, use shape elements, negative space, text, color combinations in your design. 

2. You need make sure your logo looks okay above light or dark background by submitting them in white and black backgrounds.

3. Font is open to the designers, DO NOT include any font files in your submission or source files. 

4. Designs must be created as VECTOR artwork so they can be resized without a loss of quality. Make sure your logo quality is not diminished when scaled up or down.

5. The Logo must be appealing and looks great when stitched into a jacket or shirt (provide logo appearance in jacket/shirt if possible).

Judging Criteria
Your submission will be judged on the following:
- Creativity : Does your logo visually exciting and engaging?
- Relevance: Does your logo convey the meaning of the application? Does it help the refine the application?
- Quality: Does your logo look fresh, professional and clean? Is the composition/layout well done?
- Execution : Does the quality of the graphics as well as following the provided guidelines
- Have you used typography in a meaningful way? (if you use text in the logo?)

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image
Please create a preview image as one (1) 1024x768px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. Use this preview image to help sell your logo solution.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG image files based on contest submission requirements stated above.

Source Files
All original VECTOR source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and saved as layered AI or EPS files. Your source files must meet these requirements:
1) The AI/EPS logo file with text intact (not outlined).
2) The AI/EPS logo file with text in outlined format.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
