Challenge Summary
Welcome to the Cardinal Health - Change The World Jar Design Concepts Challenge! This challenge is focused on creating fun design concepts/visual solutions for a mobile application where employees can "fill" a virtual "Change" Jar with ideas. Employees can virtually write on a piece of paper what change they will make in their lives, or the lives of someone they know.
We currently do not have any formal requirements for this project. We are looking for you to provide design concepts and click-paths screens. This is the first step in planning this fun app.
In this contest we are looking for DESIGN CONCEPTS on how this Mobile Application could work. What should the user see and experience when using the application?
Note: We will purchase submissions/concepts beyond the top three for $50 each. The submission does need to qualify as a quality submission.

Challenge Description:
The main idea of this challenge is to create a fun mobile way to collect ideas in a "change" jar. An employee can throw ideas virtually into this Jar. What change they will make in their lives, or the lives of someone they know, to promote diversity and inclusion.
Features:
- They can possibly shake the jar and see other ideas (think mobile interactions).
- They can possibly vote on ideas.
- What features or mobile interactions do you think will work for this.
Idea: Virtually, as we have many employees worldwide, we would like to create a way for employees to participate, and link it back to the two physical jars. One idea, for example, could be that every time an employee “inputs to the change jar” online, one or both of the physical jars light up, signaling that someone else has made a commitment to promote diversity and inclusion.
The main goal of this challenge is to capture fun design concepts (including our brand) on what a great and engaging (simple) mobile experience this can be for promoting diversity and inclusion within our company.
Design Concept Goals:
- How should this application be designed?
- What should the priority features be?
- How quickly can the user understand and interact with the app?
- Think simple (and engaging) solutions.
Design Reference:

Screen Size:
- Mobile Resolution: Design for iPhone 6 Retina Display 750px x 1334px.
- Make sure you create graphic in “vector” format, so when resize for retina versions, graphic still look sharp! It will be great if you can provide the landscape version.
Suggested Screens:
The following screens are suggested screens from us, please feel free to add other screens and features that work fine with what we are trying to accomplish here.
1) Opening Screen/Home:
- We need to capture the opening/loading screen.
- What is the first/fun and engaging screen?
- A user should quickly understand this application.
- It would be good to include coach marks (on how to use the application)
- A user should be able to get to a Help/Getting Started page.
- Submit an Idea button (the ability to type in an idea).
- The ability to shake the Jar?
- What does the Jar look like?
- The ability to rate a change idea?
- We need an app loading screen.
- We need an app icon.
2) Submit an Idea flow:
- User can submit a "change" idea.
- Username and email address fields, we also need the option to keep it anonymous.
- We need a radio button to indicate whether the idea will affect the person himself or someone he knows.
- We need a text area for the user so he can write down his idea.
- Submit button.
3) Thank You flow:
- Thank you message will appear for the user after submitting an idea.
- Maybe show a live video below the thank you message for both physical jars so the user can see how full they are.
- What else can be shown here? We are open to ideas.
Important:
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance
- We want to focus on promoting diversity and inclusion
Target User:
- Cardinal Health 34000 employees all over the world.
Judging Criteria:
- How well you plan the user experience and capture your ideas visually.
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.
- Creativity and ease-of-use is key to the success as it must be engaging to users.
