About Chorus:
Chorus is a program that sits on top of a few other initiatives that allows the user to pick and choose a la carte options to deliver their project and solution. We’ve included a good user flow that walks you through how Chorus is working. This will help explain the breadth of Chorus and hopefully influence your designs :
- Step 1: Choose Products
- Step 2: Personalize and Choose Features
- Step 3: Assemble the features
- Step 4: Use your personalized new package of "products"
Those steps above explains how Chorus works. It's a multi-step process that you can customize along the way
Additional Design Direction:
The client is really interested in exploring retro and simple vintage inspired designs for the general look & feel of the logo. Think of clean, refined and sophisticated typography mixed with subtle design assets and details. These design types also used a reduced color palette and color blocking to create the overall look.
We are looking for an icon and a wordmark. These 2 items should be able to work together, but also have impact and visual interest on their own. The wordmark can be set in a simple typeface, but could be modified to add some additional visual interest. The icon could start to pick up on some of the themes of Chorus or could simply be a stylized C. Think of something visually interested that someone would be proud to display.
We’ve also included some inspirational logos to get you thinking in the right direction. These are really close to the look and feel that we would like to establish with Chorus. Pay close attention to the design details and organization of the elements. It’s ok and encouraged to contain your complete wordmark+logo in a shape, but it should also work on its own. Show us options and variations of your design. Versatility is important to the client as they will be using this in various applications and formats. There is a robust color palette included. Use this as your guide, but we are open to suggestions on additional color usage. Your designs should fit within the suggested colors.
Included Documents:
-- Inspiration: Retro and vintage inspired logos. This is what we are expecting from a design perspective.
-- Retro Design Assets: A series of design assets and details to get you started in the right direction
-- Branding: Font suggestions and colors. These are just suggestions, we are open to your ideas and additional fonts and colors. make sure they fit in with the overall branding though.
Logo Requirements:
These are a few suggested requirements for the logo. We are open to your ideas, but they should remain in the same tone and feel of the below requirements.
-- Distinct icon and wordmark. These items should work together and on their own effectively.
-- Visually engaging and interesting to look at
-- Sophisticated and professional, but not too “corporate” or boring. There can be a sense of playfulness to the logo and look, but it should be refined.
-- Should have a retro/ vintage inspired look and feel to it. Look at the inspiration doc and the supplied retro design assets.
-- We have made font and color suggestions, but are open to other ideas. Stay away from funny display typefaces and unusual fonts. Think more refined. Your font selection can have some character, but it shouldn’t be distracting.
