Challenge Summary

Welcome to Appirio - Graphic/Heat Map Design Challenge!

The goal of this challenge is to create a graphic / heat map to help our sales team communicate the various technologies our community is equipped to handle. The sales team is continually selling our Topcoder services to new and existing customers.  We want to create a visual graphic to help the sales team in their discussions. Some technologies are a great fit for Community and others are not. We want to represent this visually to help the sales team when they are discussing with customers.

Round 1

Submit your design for a Checkpoint feedback:
- We would like to review your graphic/heat map and provide feedback.
- Please make sure to include a “Notes.jpg”. Please ensure that it provides a brief explanation regarding your submission, the reasoning/thoughts behind the design and any other detail you may want to provide.

Round 2

Final Design plus Checkpoint feedback:
- Your final design and files.
- Any updates and refinements from the Checkpoint review.
- Please make sure to include a “Notes.jpg”. Please ensure that it provides a brief explanation regarding your submission, the reasoning/thoughts behind the design and any other detail you may want to provide.

Objective:
The goal of this challenge is to visualize information in a meaningful way that helps the sales team in their discussions.

You are encouraged to submit rough concepts for the Checkpoint (so we can provide feedback on your submission and overall graphic/illustration choices) and then clean them up/finalize your design for Round 2.

We are looking for the [topcoder] design Community to help us with designing this graphic/heat map.

- The column descriptions are the following:

-- Crowd Ready - this signifies if the technology is ready to be consumed by a crowd such as the Topcoder community.  Some technologies are not consumable but others are not.
-- TopCoder Ready - this is a scale of 1-5 to indicate the readiness of our community with 1 being very ready and 5 being not ready.   For example, we do a lot of iOS and Android development for our customers so they would be a 1.In some cases there could be a technology that is consumable but our customers have not demanded it so our readiness will be lower.
-- Should We Sell - this indicates whether our sales team should sell this technology to a customer.  The values are Yes, No, and WC (With Caution)
-- Technology Type - this is a classification of the technology.
- Other notes:
-- The technologies highlighted in are technologies that we use a lot in the topcoder community for our customers.
- In some cases you may see similar technologies.  For example, the sheet contains various flavors of JavaScript libraries as seen by the "*.js" names.  These could be grouped together in some manner.

Target Audience:
- Appirio/Topcoder sales team to help them in their discussion with new and existing customers.
