Challenge Summary

Welcome to AppXpress - Genisys - Responsive Design Concept Challenge. In this challenge we need your help to design a responsive UI for an application that will be used by business managers to drill down and analyze business performance of the company. The company is one of the largest independent first tier suppliers to the global aviation industry.

Project Overview
Genisys is an application that will track and show the performance of value stream of the company. The business managers of the company will analyze and dril down the data performance. The performance will be presented in a chart that shows the general information. Then the user could drill down for each performance that will show the details of each performance.

User Scenario
1. The user will start to analyze the performance by selecting a value stream of the company. They could be Boeing 787, 777, CH-53 etc.
2. User will be presented with various key performance.
3. User select a key performance that will be presented in a chart that shows the general information.

ser will looks and analyze at the performance chart, drill down the detail of each performance and could takes any necessary actions.

Proposed Screens
Following are sets of proposed screens based on user scenario. You do not need to follow these if you have better solutions.
1. Splash Screens. This screen will be available on mobile application only that contain the name of the application, logo and tagline of the company.
2. Landing Page. In this screen user will be presented with a sets of value stream and key performance.
3. Chart Performance Page. This chart will show the information based on selected value stream and key performance. Following are type of performances, would be nice to have icons that reflect each performance.
a. Quality, it shows overall quality of an aircraft part.
b. Delivery, it shows on time delivery of parts to customers.
c. Labor, it shows how much man power was used to make parts.
d. Scrap, it shows how many parts were wasted due to poor quality.

4. Drill-Down Data Page. This page will provide a detail information based on selected value stream and key performance. This page could be accessed from Chart Performance Page. This information will be the same for all value stream and key performance.


Branding Guidelines
- Follow provided color scheme and theme of company website at GKN.com
- Font: Meta Family.

Target Devices
- iPhone 6: 750x1334px portrait only.
- Desktop (web application): maximum width 1024px.
- Show all hover states for all UI elements (button, hyperlinks etc.)
- Creativity is welcome.

Target Users
Business managers of the company that will analyze the company's business performance.

Judging Criteria
How well your solution meets the requirements.
- User experience and layout of the application.
- Cleanliness of your graphics, icon and design.
- Creativity of your solution.

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image
Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. 
Submission File
Please upload PNG/JPEG images in a zip file with all requested contest requirements stated above. 
Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop or similar and saved as layered PSD files. 

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
