Welcome to AppXpress – Plum Tree Group Mobile App Design Concepts Challenge. This challenge is focused on creating design concepts/visual ideas to create a Mobile App to allow a professional B2B network of creative agencies to interact with each other, share resources and see upcoming events. Similar to LinkedIn.

We currently do not have any formal requirements. We are looking for you to provide design concepts and click-paths. This is the first step in planning our mobile user experience!

In this contest we are looking for DESIGN CONCEPTS on how this Mobile Application could work. What should the user see and experience when using the application?

Concept Description:
We would like your help in designing an app to allow a professional B2B network of creative agencies to interact with each other, share resources and see upcoming events. Similar to LinkedIn.

We are looking for the [topcoder] design Community to help us with planning our new "user experience" (UX).

Design Guidelines:
- Use client logos for colors and branding.

Supporting Documents:
- Client Logo (wpi_logo.jpg.zip)

Design Goals:
- How should this application be designed?
- How quickly the user can find what he wants? What should the priority features be?
- How quickly can the user understand and interact with the app?
- The application should be easy to use.
- Think simple but effective solutions! Have fun creating this - let us know how you think it should work!

Screen Sizes:
- Mobile Resolution: Design for iPhone 6 Retina Display 750px x 1334px.
Make sure you create graphic in 'shape' format, so when we resize graphics will still look sharp! It will be great if you can provide the landscape version.

Main Features:
1. News feed to display/share project wins, announcements, and requests for collaboration.
2. Request collaboration from other agencies.
3. Agency directory with profiles.
4. Events.

User Flow:
- Alex is a principle of a creative agency.
- Alex will be able to share updates client/project wins on the newsfeed.
- Alex can like/comment on news feed activity.
- Alex can initiate a collaboration request from the community.
- Alex can get information about events.
- Alex can update his company profile.

Suggested Screens:
This is a design concepts challenge and those are only suggested screens from us, so please feel free to add anything you think will work good for this app.

0) Navigation:
- How does the user navigate this application?
- Include navigation that you think fits with this application.
- Focus on the priority items and how things should be sized.

1) Login Page:
- User will need to enter:
-- Username.
-- Password.
- We need login button and forgot your password links.
- Please show validation error screen too.

2) Activity/News Feed Page:
- From this view user will be able to see other companies activities.
- User will be able to comment like on any activity feed.
- User will be able to share updates and client/project wins on activity feed.
- You can take inspiration from facebook and linked in activity/news feeds.

3) Collaboration Request Page:
- User will be able to search for other companies.
- When user clicks on a search result (company) he will be taken to detailed view about that company.
- There should be a collaboration request button on company detailed view.
- Once this button clicked user can write down a message and ask for collaboration.

4) Events Page:
- From this page user will be able to view all events related to his company or things he likes.
- You can take inspiration from facebook events.

5) Profile Page:
- User will have the ability to view his company profile.
- Please think of what information can be shown here.
- User will be able to update his company profile.

Important:
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance

Target Audience:
- Principles and employees of creative agencies including advertising, digital/social media, media planning/buying, research, public relations, and experiential marketing.

Judging Criteria:
- How well you plan the user experience and capture your ideas visually.
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design.
- Your design should possible to build and make sense as a mobile application.

Submission & Source Files:
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file, or Adobe Illustrator as a layered AI file.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.

All submissions are screened for eligibility before the challenge holder picks winners. Don't let your hard work go to waste. Learn more about how to  pass screening.
