Challenge Summary

Welcome back to the AppXpress iOS Design - MTS Mobile Refinement Challenge

The goal of this challenge is to take the provided design and:
1) Simplify the experience!
2) Improve how the Appirio brand is used in the application!
3) Improve the iOS design!
4) Finish the experience!

We are providing the winning design from the previous challenge as the base PSD source. We want to update and improve the experience and capture the screens needed to start the UI Prototype!

Let us know if you have any questions!

Round 1

Submit your design for Checkpoint Feedback
- Brand and mobile design updates/suggestions
- Any additional updates for feedback
- Consultant Dashboard
- Manager Dashboard
- Satisfaction and Feedback process

Round 2

Submit all final screens plus checkpoint feedback

Challenge Details
This application will collect frequent and timely Feedback on Appirio team members. It will summarize the feedback by project and manager and feed this information back to managers and account executives. This app should also collect each Appian's own satisfaction on a frequent basis.

Focus
- We want to focus on these two items for the first version of the application.

1) Performance Feedback
- To enable Consultants at Appirio to provide quick, realtime feedback to each other on projects.
- This feedback is tracked over time and average for a consultant performance rating
- This feedback on consultants is summed up to a project performance / feedback rating

2) Job Satisfaction
- To enable Consultants at Appirio to record their job satisfaction frequently (think quick daily sentiment/mood)
- We would like to simplify this even more (the stars are pretty heavy and this application needs to be simple and enjoyable to use). We are thinking more color dots/sentiment capture.

Challenge Goals
- Refine the mobile experience (think Apple design patterns!)
- Keep it simple and usable - does the flow make sense?
- Embrace and push the Appirio brand elements
- Make feedback quick and easy.

Branding Guidelines
- View the provided design files for color reference (Color-Brand)
- View crowdsourcing.appirio.com
- We want to create a great mobile experience and integrate the Appirio Brand

Screen Sizes
- Mobile Resolution: Design for iPhone 6 Retina Display 750px x 1334px.

Refinements
Important. We are prepping for the UI Prototype Challenge. We need to capture each step/screen to know the UI/interactions.

- These screen look/design is awkward (lines, shadows, gradients.. so many elements - simplify)
- Improve the iOS experience
- Improve the brand experience
- Logo: Similar to the http://crowdsourcing.appirio.com/ - we want to use the Appirio logo + "folla"

Consultant Dashboard

Reference: mts_p1-1-consultant.png, mts_p1-7-satisfaction-rated.png
- We would like to see a first time view of this screen (no rating, no projects)
- We want to change the "Satisfaction" process to more of a color/dot rating system - color denotes mood
- Improve the iOS experience
- Improve the brand experience (the colors on these screens are dull and not engaging with our brand)
- Lets us a normal hamburger menu/apple design pattern
- What does the "+" do and is it needed?
- We like the idea from 02-210914 to show Active/All/Past Projects
- Assuming we will have many projects over time - does it make sense to add a filter?
- How does a Consultant see feedback about themselves? See 02-210914 02_16 My Feedbacks.png

Notes:
- A consultant can see their satisfaction rating and their history.
- They are NOT able to see any other employee
- They are able to see the project team overall rating/sentiment

Consultant Satisfaction
Reference: mts_p1-2-selected-1.png thru mts_p1-6-selected-5.png
- Use more mood/sentiment dots - keeping it simple
- Make sure to update all items that track satisfaction so they make sense thoughout the application
- Improve the iOS experience
- Improve the brand experience (the colors on these screens are dull and not engaging with our brand)

Consultant Satisfaction History
Reference: mts_p1-8-satisfaction-history.png
- This page is confusing
- Consultant would only see their history and a teams history
- We like the spark line chart - keep this
- Improve the iOS experience
- Improve the brand experience (the colors on these screens are dull and not engaging with our brand
- We need to capture history/feedback that is provided to the consultant See 02-210914 02_16 My Feedbacks.png (create this page)

Consultant Project View
Reference: mts_p2-1-project.png, mts_p3-1-consultant.png, mts_p3-2-added.png
- Look to simplify
- Integrate more of the color dots/sentiment
- This page has a lot of different bars/details.. how to clarify/clean things up?
- Improve the iOS experience
- Improve the brand experience
- A consultant provides feedback to teammates here.
- They can see feedback they have provided but not everyone elses.

~
Manager Dashboard
Reference: mts_p4-manager-summary.png
- We would like to see a first time view of this screen (no rating, no projects)
- We want to change the "Satisfaction" process to more of a color/dot rating system - color denotes mood/sentiment
- Manager would see more details compared to the consultant
- Improve the iOS experience: When opening projects the view/design is awkward and needs to be cleaned up (and improved based on the color system)
- Improve the brand experience (the colors on these screens are dull and not engaging with our brand)
- We like the idea from 02-210914 to show Active/All/Past Projects
- Assuming we will have many projects over time - does it make sense to add a filter?

Manager Project View
Reference: mts_p6-manager-project.png, mts_p7-stat.png, mts_p8-manager-consultant.png, mts_p10-add-new-projects.png
- Update this design to work with our new satisfaction/sentiment process
- Improve the brand experience
- The manger would see all the feedback
- We like the idea from 02-210914 to show the matrix of all feedback (03_03 Manager_Project Details.png)
- Matrix: How does this work best on the phone/iOS?

Judging Criteria:
- How well update the experience
- Refine the mobile experience (think Apple design patterns!)
- Keep it simple and usable
- Embrace and push the Appirio brand elements
