Challenge Summary

Swiftoberfest 2015 is an effort by Appirio to drive participation in iOS/Swift development challenges within the topcoder community. We’re recruiting new topcoder members with iOS/Swift expertise as well as encouraging current topcoder members to hone their iOS development skills, earn Swift badges, and work on real-world customer app development challenges.

To help drive participation in Swiftoberfest 2015, we’ll be giving away t-shirts to ios.topcoder.com members who complete specific challenges (additional details on Swiftoberfest coming soon!). Your job is to create an amazing t-shirt design that reflects what Swiftoberfest and iOS/Swift development are all about.

Round 1

Submit your initial design for including any notes for client review.

Round 2

Submit your final design for review, after incorporating the milestone feedback.

The Swiftoberfest 2015 t-shirt is intended to drive participation in Swift challenges and badges on topcoder, so it has to stand out. The shirt must reflect what both Swift development and the topcoder community represent. The shirt will be worn worldwide by 200 topcoder members so it needs to positively reflect topcoder for international branding.

The Swiftoberfest theme is like an Oktoberfest for Swift developers, think Swift developers, beer gardens, community, and having fun! The “Get Swifter” tagline and origami Swift logo used on last year’s Summer of Swift shirt can be incorporated into your theme, or come up with your own ideas!

T-Shirt Design Requirements

- Think of a t-shirt design that would individually stand out: it could be an illustration, a typographic creation, something witty - it's entirely up to you. Design something that you would want to keep and wear!

- This is what the t-shirt design looked like for last year’s Summer of Swift program:

- We need a great design that prominently features Swift and Swiftoberfest, and you can choose any t-shirt color that best reflects your design!

- Keep it simple, don't over design it!

- Remember you are designing for print media. This means no gradients and try to stay away from designs that are too intricate, as they would be hard to reproduce on fabric.

- Use provided Swiftoberfest15_shirt_cmyk.ai as base template your t-shirt design - and set it to any color you prefer. FYI: DO NOT use other T-Shirt "body" template to display your design, your submission will fail screening if you use another template. Just focus on the designs requirements.

- For your Swiftoberfest 2015 t-shirt design you can use all of the front and the back of the t-shirt, so be creative with your use of this space!

- Although you are free to choose any t-shirt color, but on your design the only colors to be used are those defined on the topcoder logo style guide. Please do not use a gradient as it will not print well.

- Your design must use the topcoder logo(TC logos.zip).

- This t-shirt design needs pop! It's going to be a souvenir for Swiftoberfest 2015 participants, so make it something memorable - think and design creatively!

T-Shirt Content

- Try to use graphics rather than text/random words. No generic graphics, make sure there's something meaningful to your design!

- The text "Swiftoberfest 2015" is optional.

- Please use the Swift logo (the logo that is in the provided tshirt design in the get_swifter.zip), the Summer of Swift shirt design (get_swifter.zip), and the “Swiftoberfest” theme for your inspiration.
