For Round 2, you are expected to submit your completed submission again. At this point, you may have made changes to your submission, based on any feedback from the client (if applicable).

Project Background

We are missing opportunities to bring new and interesting challenges to the Topcoder community today because we are not aware of them, we are not aware of how crowdsourcing or innovation services can provide a solution, or both. So, we want to try new approach to identify these opportunities by turning to our community members to help us, we believe that 800k people can find and filter opportunities that are observable in the public domain faster and better than a team of 3 (or even 30 or 300) can.

Goals

- Finding opportunities that we otherwise were not aware of.

- Boost our awareness of federal opportunities for crowdsourcing and innovation services.

- Increase the number of opportunities that we qualify for bidding or not bidding.

- Innovation in methods to discover these opportunities.

- Creative ways to fit our combined services to opportunities.

Considerations

Below are some comments which you need to consider when searching for opportunities:

- Avoid random entries.

- Avoid copying of fedbizopps email filters (e.g. search “crowdsourcing”)

Focus On

- We are mainly interested in Web/Mobile/Internet Of Things opportunities, but also we want to see everything that you think would fit crowdsourcing.

- Opportunities should only be in USA, UK, Australia or EMEA.

Organizing Your Submission

Your submission should contain a detailed description of your submission. Preferably one document, with following sections:

- Opportunity Title

- URL to the opportunity listing page

- Opportunity Deadline

- Opportunity Value, if provided.

- Is it Request for Information (RFI) or solicitation

- Explain fitness: How would crowdsourcing be used?  We are looking for a tactical answer to this one.  For example, if the opportunity is for new ideas and prototypes, how would you use Topcoder challenges to do that?  Or, if the opportunity is to do a lot of work quickly, how in general would we use contests to do that?  We don't need gameplans (although they are permitted) but we do want a clear idea of how you'd use contests to solve this "problem."  Feel free to refer to past projects you may have noticed.

- Keyword/classifier used to identify opportunity.

As a reminder you can submit anything you think highlights the opportunity clearly.

The sky's the limit! Good luck!

Target Audience

The target audience are the Sales teams in Appirio and selected customers.  This team will evaluate the opportunity, and will provide the feedback.

Judging Criteria

- Is there sufficient time before the RFP (Request for Proposal) deadline to reply (min 5 days)

- Does crowdsourcing or innovation bring a value that is unique?

- Is it clear how a solution to the RFP (Request for Proposalis BETTER with crowdsourcing?

- Is this opportunity new to us?
