Challenge Summary

Welcome to American Express - Connected Community App Wireframe Challenge!

This is Part 1 of a 2-feature app called American Express Community and Education. Part 2  challenge is currently running simultaneously.

Part 1 focuses on Connected Community, while Part 2 focuses on Financial Education. The intent is for users to toggle between these two features, but designers should please focus on Connected Community, knowing that the other feature exists and will be accessible to the user.

Client is looking for unique solutions and intuitive features that promote interaction between members.

In this challenge we need to enable peer-oriented experience sharing amongst the 23-27 year old demographic, where we connect relevant customer sub groups / mindsets with lifestage-relevant discussion areas / pressure points e.g. entrepreneurs (“I hate my job, should I start a business instead”)  first-time homeowners (“is now the right time to buy”), job-seekers (“how do I get a job in advertising”) etc.

Round 1

Submit your wireframe for a Checkpoint feedback
- Submit your initial work for checkpoint feedback.
- The application is mainly desktop but we would like to see a couple of screens done as mobile as well.

Round 2

Final wireframe plus Checkpoint feedback
- Your final solution including any checkpoint feedback.
- The application is mainly desktop but we would like to see a couple of screens done as mobile as well.
Notes.jpg: Any comments about your design for the Client.

Challenge Description:
In this challenge we are looking to build a connected community (existing or new network / platform) enabling exchange of ideas and experiences amongst the community.

We are looking for wireframe (Axure) solutions based on requirements below. We’re also looking to the community to come up with interesting ideas for the workflow - we’re absolutely open to creative solutions!

At the end of this wireframe challenge, we are looking to have a complete solution for the user experience and flow of the portal

Wireframe Expectations:
- Produce HTML click through wireframes that can be used to demonstrate all mentioned functionalities as required in each round.
- The website must be very easy to use and intuitive. Keep that in mind when designing your solution.
- You MUST cover all screens mentioned in required sections below, if any requirement is missing in final submission the client will not look at it, so make a checklist for the required screens to make sure you designed all of them.
- Please show us your proposal as a movie or series of wireframes that communicate the user’s intended interaction with your proposed solution.
- You MUST use wireframes note pane in every single page you design to explain what items are addressed in that page from the documentation, what things you added/changed/removed, use it to make your idea clearer and help the client to give you constructive feedback.

Notes:
- Your solution need use Responsive Design Solution.
- Your wireframe submissions need to be able to drill down for all page flow.
- Show your wireframe solution for Desktop view (width 1280px and height as required).
- Show your wireframe solution on Portrait View. Use this screen size (375px x 663px)
- Feel free to suggest any tools/functions that can bring good User Experience for this tool.

Required Functionality:
- Aim for a mix of curated content with forum and social interaction platforms. Imagine feature sections where select community contributors showcase their expertise e.g. “how to start your own business” and then this is coupled with open virtual live chats and skype questions. Alongside this you have your more “standard” community platform with related features.
- It is a social platform where members can connect, post forum questions and answers, post reviews, recommend additional sources of information, interact via private message, hang out etc.
